Yew's bear charm is a miscellaneous item in Fallout 3.
Characteristics[]
Sapling Yew acquired her bear charm when she was five.It grants a permanent increase of 10 points to Speech when received.
Locations[]
This item can be rewarded by Sapling Yew upon completion of the Oasis quest. You only receive this reward if you pass the Speech check or use the Child at Heart perk to find out what Harold is afraid of; if not, Yew will not give you the charm. You also cannot burn Harold, or else she will not give it to you.
Notes[]
- Once you receive Yew's Bear Charm, you can trash it, sell it, or put it in your locker. Your +10 Speech is an instant reward, like with a bobblehead. The charm itself is simply an item, not a passive perk.
- Even though it looks exactly like a teddy bear when dropped, it looks like a bracelet with a bear figure on it in the Pip-Boy.
- Though it no longer serves any purpose, this item is still found in the game files for Fallout: New Vegas.
