The wrecked Highwayman is a location in Fallout New Vegas, located off Highway 95 south-west of Clark Field.
Layout[]
It seems that something has stopped the Chryslus Motors Highwayman, after it swerved off the Highway and landed in a bog. Now half-buried in the swampy ground, the Highwayman is a rusted hulk. The trunk is open to the elements and contains microfusion cells, energy cells, a Sunset Sarsaparilla star bottle cap, and a footlocker. When approached, My Chrysalis Highwayman or Gold Slouch from the Fallout 2 soundtrack will play.

If JSawyer.esp is loaded, it will also contain an armored Vault 13 jumpsuit and a weathered 10mm pistol, indicating that it is actually the Chosen One's old Highwayman.

Behind the scenes[]
- J.E. Sawyer wanted to add a wrecked Highwayman filled with microfusion cells and other items hinting at its owner, like the tanker fob, as far back as Van Buren, as a reference to the Chosen One's car from Fallout 2 (where it contained an internal battery charged from energy cells.[1][1] Chris Avellone also expanded upon this stating it was just the trunk, reflecting the bug commonly seen in Fallout 2.[2]
Appearances[]
The wrecked Highwayman appears in Fallout: New Vegas.
