The whet stone is a miscellaneous item in Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.
Characteristics[]
Sharing the same object appearance as a paperweight, it would normally be used to sharpen knives and cutting tools, but in the game it is only useful as Rock-It Launcher ammunition.
Locations[]
- One can be found by the Scrapyard office
- One can be found on a shelf in Vault 101 during your escape.
- Another can be found at a random encounter location west of Vault 101, near a rare wood chipper and mini nuke.
- One can be found in the southeaster corner of the Deathclaw Sanctuary.
- One can be found in the refrigerator on the north wall of Marguerite's Shack
- One can be found in an Average locked safe in a room to the right as soon as you walk into the Bison Steve Hotel.
Notes[]
- The whet stone is very rare, found only in a few locations around the Capital Wasteland. It also appears in Fallout: New Vegas.
- The whet stone looks exactly like the paperweight.
- The whet stone is mentioned in Fallout 2 by Harold.[1]
