A walkie-talkie is a quest item in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Honest Hearts.
Characteristics[]
It has the appearance of a United States Armed Forces handheld radio set, similar to those used by civilians for recreational uses.
Locations[]
Two can be found at the Zion Fishing Lodge, behind the bar counter in the cabinet.
Notes[]
- If the player does not have a high enough lockpick skill, the key to the cabinet can be found inside the crate in the restroom, on the other side of the wall.
- After collecting the walkie-talkies, Follows-Chalk will comment periodically about them being more useful than smoke signals.
- They are quest items and can only be removed when given to Daniel.

- At one point during development, the player was to find the walkie-talkies broken, just like the Broken compass, and had to get it repaired. This part of the quest was cut before release, however; with the only remaining assets being a single icon for a broken walkie-talkie and two messages within the GECK telling the player that the walkie-talkie is broken and can be repaired with a Repair of 30 or 1 pile of Scrap electronics.

Behind the scenes[]
The walkie-talkie appears to have been based off the SCR-536, used extensively by American forces during World War II.
