One of the staple companies of Appalachia, WV Lumber Company was notable for continuing to employ an all-human workforce, offering good pay, good hours, and overall going against the grain of the Appalachian economy. The stunning view of the Ohio River was nothing to scoff at either.[1]
Points of interest[]
This massive lumber mill stretches alongside the eastern bank of the Ohio and can be roughly divided into three sections. The southeastern one, closest to the entrance road, contains a large warehouse out of corrugated metal and the locations' armor workbench, as well as a chem station and power armor station. It also includes an adjacent mechanic's garage.
The southern part, separated by the log transportation belts, includes a silo and wooden tower. The opposite side has the sawmill proper, with three buildings for processing lumber. The northernmost one contains a weapons workbench, while the southernmost doubled as an administrative building and includes the location's steamer trunk, alongside a caps stash and a safe on the top floor.
Notable loot[]
Potential bobblehead: On the edge of the roof, in the waste bin, or just inside the structure with the "protect your hands" poster; in the partly ruined maintenance garage next to the stacked squared-off lumber.
Potential bobblehead: On the raised area by an upturned filing cabinet and first aid box, inside the red barn storage warehouse.
Potential magazine: On the large, rough wood dining table adjacent to the stairwell, in the large interior chamber of the lumber mill with the table saw.
Potential magazine: On the metal desk with the skeletal parts on it, at the back (raised) area of the mechanic's metal garage with the Chemistry Station in it, east side of the yard.
Potential power armor: In the large metal warehouse, near the interior stairs, near a Nuka-cola machine.
