Vodka is a consumable item in Fallout 3.

Characteristics[]

Vodka is a distilled alcoholic beverage, made mostly from water and ethanol and then distilled from a fermented substance such as rye, wheat, potatoes or sugar beet molasses. Vodka is an addictive drink which when consumed provides a minor status boost - increasing Charisma and Strength by one while reducing Intelligence by one.

Vodka, as well as the other hard liquor, is a poor choice for a status boost. As the addiction rate is higher than beer, even though the effects are still the same. However, this factor becomes unimportant when having purchased the My First Laboratory upgrade for the players house, as this cures all addictions, with the sole exception of ant nectar addiction.

Vodka is also the highest priced liquor in the game (without add-ons), valued at 20 bottle caps per bottle.

Notes[]

  • Vodka is one of the less common beverages in Fallout 3 but can still be found rather easily.
  • As with other similar drugs in Fallout 3, vodka seems to be bulletproof but this is most likely a game engine limitation.
