Walkthrough[]
Build and power the phoropter prototype, and connect it to a terminal.
(Optional) The prototype requires 25 units of nuclear material which can be mined from the cave in the train tunnel east of the main atrium. Enter workshop mode and scrap the limestone walls to expose the cave, in addition to scrapping the glowing rocks impregnated with uranium. Be aware that there is a large nest of radscorpions and mole rats inside the uranium cave.
Select one of the three experimental parameter to test.
Choosing to implant subliminal messages or Vault monitoring results in the test subject becoming irate at the experiment, storming off and leaving the vault forever unless convinced with a dialogue check. Choosing to improve eye care will not result in an angry test subject, but they are still weary and must be convinced to stay with a dialogue check.
