Virgin Street is the main street of New Reno in Fallout 2.

Surrounding the old Virginia Street that once connected Reno to California, this district blossomed into a distillation of what Reno is about: Casinos, brothels, drugs, and crushing poverty for those ground to dust beneath the boots of the ruling crime families.

Virgin(ia) Street cuts through the city as it did in bygone times and is usually the first place the visitors see when they enter the city. The public parking lot in the center is where Jules welcomes new visitors, trying to steer them towards establishments that pay him a commission for every soul he sends their way. Beyond his guide services, there's the adjacent ruin, where the junkies and other people used up by the city try to survive.

Opposite this place of misery is the Desperado, heart of the Mordinos' drug empire, with the neutral ground, Cat's Paw, on the other corner.

  • Jules, the greeter
  • Cody, a lost child
  • Nameless prostitutes, their pimps, junkies, and the occasional regular town denizen.
  • For location-specific characters, see individual building articles.

Behind the scenes

  • Virgin Street stands in for Virginia Street, as indicated by the famous Reno Arch (one of two in the city, the other is located east at the National Auto Museum). Note that if the northern district is supposed to surround Second Street, the the arch is located in the wrong place.

Virgin Street appears only in Fallout 2.
