The German Rheinmetall AG company created the ultimate minigun. The Vindicator throws over 90,000 caseless shells per minute down its six carbon-polymer barrels. As the pinnacle of Teutonic engineering skill, it is the ultimate hand-held weapon.
”— In-game description, Fallout 2The 4.7mm Vindicator minigun is a big gun in Fallout 2.
Characteristics[]
Along with the Bozar, many consider the Vindicator to be the ultimate big gun. Even enemies clad in power armor can be brought down in a single burst. The only down side of the weapon is the scarcity of the ammunition it uses. The minigun runs on 4.7mm caseless bullets, which can only be bought in two stores, and not easily found. One convenient method involves traveling close to San Francisco for the Hubologist random encounter; the Hubologists sometimes carry submachine guns using the same ammo. However, it can also be stolen from most of the guards in Chinatown, San Francisco.
