The Vietnam War was a military conflict that took place in the Fallout universe. The Fallout Tactics intro explicitly mentions a declaration of War in Vietnam and includes fragments of speeches made by Lyndon Johnson and Richard Nixon concerning the war. Making this an excellent example of a divergence in the Fallout timeline as this never happened in real life.
