The Vault 118 overseer was the overseer of Vault 118 prior to his death.

Background[]

Before the Great War, the Vault 118 overseer was responsible for attracting and selecting 10 ultra elite individuals for Test Group A of Vault 118's experiment. During the construction of the Vault, they noticed that progress on the second wing had stopped, due to the financier of the project, Ezra Parker, not paying Vault-Tec, with the company due to send an investigator on suspicions of embezzlement.[1] Unfortunately, one of the individuals was Bert Riggs, a General Atomics International researcher, who proposed surviving the impending nuclear war by inserting their brains into Robobrains.

When the War finally came, the overseer found that they had been locked out of the system to open the vault door. Weeks passed, and the overseer gradually spiraled into insanity, with the intended test parameters switched to have him be the subject instead of the viewer, where Test Group A would survive forever, and he wouldn't. His final act was to commit suicide.[2]
