Vault-Tec lunchboxes are rare miscellaneous items in Fallout 4.
Characteristics[]
Vault-Tec lunchboxes can be opened to reveal various consumables, along with an explosion of confetti and streamers and the sound of a party horn. Although one could sell these miscellaneous items, they are a required component of the bottlecap mine.

- Vault-Tec lunchboxes can be manufactured using a builder, but these will not contain random consumables or junk.
- However, by transferring these to another container such as a hopper and pulling them back out, they can be shot to be opened
- Normally after opening a lunchbox by shooting it it will leave a broken lunchbox in its place which cannot be picked up by the player but by dropping it into a hopper, the broken lunch box will be transformed back into a normal one, this can allow for an infinite supply of the resources that it drops as long as the player has enough ammunition to keep opening them.
