Turn on power for the Glow is a side quest in Fallout.
Walkthrough[]
The power generator that can be used to restart the facility is located on level six. In order to reach it, the player has to acquire the yellow and red security keycards to access the elevators and descend to the bottom of the installation.
The generator itself is located in the south-eastern corner. Repairing it requires a moderate skill level (55% Repair is a safe estimate), though a tool can be used (on the generator) to increase the chance of success. A failure will waste several hours of in-game time, which may result in the player character losing their Rad-X immunity and accumulating potentially lethal doses of radiation.
Success will restart power, bringing the lights, elevators, and robots on-line. ZAX 1.2 can be asked to switch the robots off, effectively making accessing level 5 a breeze.
The final sum of experience points, 1000, is granted when the player enters level 5 of the Glow, which also grants the option of taking home a plasma rifle and a 2nd generation combat armor, among many.
