True Police Stories is a skill magazine in Fallout: New Vegas.

The magazine is dedicated to "true" pulp stories, such as "Shoot to Kill", "Shootout with A Chem-Crazy Dame" and "Eight Bullets, Ten Crooks".

Interestingly, True Police Stories is not included in any levelled lists or merchant inventories, save a single list in Dead Money, NVDLC01ClutterMagazineValue25, which is only referenced in a handful of metal boxes and a single garbage can within the add-on. As such, it can only be found in pre-placed locations.
Behind the scenes[]
- Based on the model name, magsguns, True Police Stories was originally intended to temporarily increase Small Guns, but since Fallout: New Vegas combined Big Guns and Small Guns into just Guns the effect was changed to increase Critical Chance.
- The cover is a copy of the DVD jacket for Dick Tracy, Detective (1945.) flipped and modified to look like a magazine cover.
