Trappers are a faction in the Fallout 4 add-on Far Harbor.

Background[]

Trappers are a breed of raiders that inhabit the regions of Mount Desert Island that are blanketed in The Fog. They used to be ordinary fisherman and hunters, but the radioactive fog has driven them to madness, along with the savage nature of the island itself.[1]

Organization[]

Bands of trappers operate mostly independent of each other, and can consists of small groups of three up to large gangs of dozens. Like other raider bands, most trappers report to a single boss who is responsible for managing the gang's hideout and choosing raid targets.

Outside relations[]

Having been driven mad by radiation, trappers are hostile to literally anything that is not one of their own. This includes the residents of Far Harbor, Acadians, the Children of Atom, and especially mutated sea creatures.

Technology[]

The trappers have not strayed far from the tools they used when they were fishermen and hunters. They commonly use meat and pole hooks, lever action rifles, hunting rifles, and harpoon guns as weapons, and wear makeshift armor made from pelts, skins, and fishing nets.

Appearances[]

Trappers appear in the Fallout 4 add-on Far Harbor.
