Tool is an utility item in Fallout and Fallout 2.
Characteristics
A pliers-based multi-tool, with several useful tools (screwdriver, blade etc.) stowed inside the handles via a pivot mechanism. Made from wear-resistant metal. Tools are common and worth quite a bit of money per pound.
When used on an item, they confer a +20% bonus to the Repair skill.
Uses in quests
Fallout 2
- This tool and a wrench can be given to Valerie, in order to receive a Super Tool Kit.
Locations
Fallout
- Starting gear, if Repair was tagged.
- Doc Morbid has one on his person.
Fallout 2
Behind the scenes
The item was a pair of wire cutters in the demo.
