Toccamatta was the high inquisitor and Gammorin's right hand in 2197.

Background

Toccamatta is the high inquisitor of Gammorin's Army, as well as Gammorin's second-in-command. He specializes in torture and had a ninety-nine percent success rate at getting prisoners to confess whatever they knew. His squad was the one to capture Simon Barnaky during the battle of St. Louis.

After he took General Barnaky prisoner in St. Louis, his convoy came under attack by the Calculator's forces. Toccamatta survived the ambush, but was badly wounded and by the time a Eastern Brotherhood squad reached Osceolla, he was dying. Delirious, he managed to reveal the fact that Barnaky was taken alive before expiring.

Behind the scenes

• This character is likely a reference to the infamous Tomás de Torquemada, who served as the Inquisitor General for the Spanish Inquisition from 1483 until 1498 when he died.
