Important quotes are quotes which can be used to establish the authenticity of the lore. Important quotes are to be grouped together by dialogue line. When adding the quotation to the page(s) it must be in the standard reference format.

Examples
Important quote:
<ref>The [[Courier]]: ''"Why is Caesar's Legion so... strange?"''<br/>Caesar: "''I used imperial Rome as the model for my Legion precisely because it was so foreign, so {{Tooltip|alien|{beat} }}. I'd seen what had become of the NCR's attempts to emulate the culture of Pre-War America - the in-fighting, the corruption. Rome was a highly militarized autocracy that effectively integrated the foreign cultures it conquered. It dedicated its citizens to something higher than themselves - to the idea of Rome itself. In Rome I found a template for a society equal to the challenges of the post-apocalyptic world - a society that could and would survive. A society that could prevent mankind from fracturing and destroying itself in this new world, by establishing a new {{Tooltip|Pax Romana|{packs Ro-MAH-na} }}."''<br/>([[Caesar's dialogue]])</ref>

Result:

The Courier: "Why is Caesar's Legion so... strange?"
Caesar: "I used imperial Rome as the model for my Legion precisely because it was so foreign, so alien. A society that could prevent mankind from fracturing and destroying itself in this new world, by establishing a new Pax Romana."
(Caesar's dialogue)
Note: Please note the context of the "Script notes" section of the table. These developer notes helps to clarify the context of the individual dialogue lines. Use Template:Tooltip to add them to the text, as in the example above.

Non-notable quotes are dialogue lines that would prove useless in verifying the authenticity of any particular Lore or notes. These quotes at are useful for the "Notable quotes" section in articles or as the opening quote of an article.

Unimportant quote:
The Courier: "No, and I don't really care."
Joshua Graham: "Living in willful ignorance is an ugly thing, but God often speaks loudest in the wild places of his creation, like Zion. Zion is a place, and a state of being, that has been lost to us several times in the past. Each loss is a new fall of man. And after each fall, we weep in strange new lands and dream of Zion, dream of visiting vengeance upon those who took it from us. But this is the waking world in which we live. There is no need to cry, no need to dream. We can act now and stop the White Legs here."
(Joshua Graham's dialogue)
