The Fixer is a unique weapon in Fallout 76.
Background[]
The combat rifle is a practical weapon created by rechambering the mass-produced, rugged combat shotgun for rifle rounds. The amount of changes was minimal, limited to removing the heat shroud and modifying the receiver. Everything else was left in place, including the original magazine well with the drum mount. Despite that, the resulting rifle was as cheap, effective, and popular as the combat shotgun, in no small part due to the vast catalog of modifications it shared with the combat shotgun, allowing for in-depth customization. These included various optics, ranging from simple iron sight rings, through reflex sights, to night vision and recon scopes, bayonets and compensators, as well as adjustable, pistol-grip tactical stocks from lightweight alloys.[1]
The Fixer is a special variant with numerous aftermarket modifications and a polymeric after-market finish on the stock, handguard, and magazine. The perfect weapon of a corporate assassin.
Characteristics[]
A pre-modified version of the combat rifle, designed around stealth characters. Powerful for characters around level 30, comes by default with a silencer. The drawback is that since it's found in the Ash Heap, it's limited to spawning at max. level 30. However, finishing Encryptid will allow the player to re-craft the rifle at higher levels.
