The Basincreek Building is a location in Fallout: New Vegas, located in southern New Vegas, southwest of Camp McCarran.

Layout[]

This office building has an L shape, with the player entering straight into a collapsed reception area (the upper floor is inaccessible, as the staircases are buried under rubble). The door to the left leads into the surviving parts of the building, inhabited by a combination of giant soldier ants, giant worker ants and radroaches. The corridor to the left leads to a pair of toilets, with the far one inaccessible and the first containing a dose of Hydra. The corridor ahead leads to an Easy-locked office, with the Help me! on the floor in front of it. Whomever locked themselves inside was not rescued in time, it seems.

Notable loot[]

  • Tales of Chivalrie: In the locked office, on the bottom shelves.
  • True Police Stories: End table in the lobby, left after entering the building.
  • Hydra: On the floor in the fourth stall in the accessible bathroom.

Appearances[]

The Basincreek Building appears in Fallout: New Vegas.

Behind the scenes[]

The Basincreek Building is an inside joke referencing Obsidian Entertainment's former office building. The Basincreek Building contains several things which at one point happened at Obsidian's old office building, such as a car crashing into the building, the bathroom flooding several times, having an ant infestation, a rat dying behind a wall causing the entire building to smell and someone punched a hole in the men's bathroom.[1]
