Talk to Colonel Autumn. If told the correct code for Project Purity (2-1-6), he will kill the Lone Wanderer; all other response will force Autumn to leave in frustration.
Speak to President Eden over the intercom and grab you gear from the nearby locker.
Transverse Raven Rock.
Talk to President Eden in his "office" and take the modified FEV.
With a successful Speech check, Eden can be convinced that he is insane and should self-destruct. With a Science of 60, one can argue that his thinking is fallacious, and use this to also convince him to self-destruct. Alternatively, the ZAX destruct sequence found in Autumn's room destroys Eden.
Escape the base.
Get free from the chair.
Retrieve equipment from the locker.
Meet President Eden in his office.
Take the vial of the modified FEV.
Escape the Enclave base.
Report to Elder Lyons at the Citadel.
The Bobblehead - Energy Weapons is located in Colonel Autumn's bedroom. After the quest, you will be unable to retrieve it if it is missed.
Should you befriend President Eden rather than destroy him in some manner, he will give a patriotic speech on the Enclave Radio station during the next quest.
Three Dog will also give a different report, based on whether the player destroys Raven Rock or leaves on friendly terms with Eden. Furthermore, Three Dog reveals in his broadcast that he knows through his "sources" that the player was taken to Raven Rock imprisoned in a block of ice.
Two hours pass in the games time once they capture you and take you to Raven Rock.
Behind the scenes
The "American Dream" is the a term coined by historian and writer James Truslow Adams in his 1931 book Epic of America. Since then, the term refers to the belief that anyone, no matter their background, can be successful in the United States of America. In this case, even a computer has achieved the American Dream. The term is also being used as a pun for the Enclave's vision of a reshaped America, their ideal "dream" of the American way.
PCPlayStation 3Xbox 360 When leaving Raven Rock, if you re-enter Raven Rock before talking to Fawkes, Fawkes may disappear completely from the game.
PCPlayStation 3Xbox 360 With the Broken-Steel add-on installed, you won't be able to finish the quest; after escaping Raven Rock and returning to the Citadel to report Elder Lyons, you find him in the lab gathered with Lyon's Pride and Scribe Rothschild. Normally you would already hear Sentinel Lyons and Elder Lyons talk when entering the Lab. No talking is a bad sign. If you move closer, the "cut scene" will begin, but nothing happens.
PCPlayStation 3 After the base is destroyed, and you meet and join up with Fawkes, he may not move at all.
PCPlayStation 3 If your follower is Jericho and he was with you on Vault 87, once you are kidnapped by the Enclave, he completely disappears from the game.
Xbox 360 When entering the room with the sentry bots and Enclave soldiers, the soldiers will not be marked hostile despite their fate, and if the player runs forward and talks to them (before they are shot) they can enter dialogue, although all they say is "hey there," and the only option is "See you later."
Xbox 360 It is possible that the final objective (Report to Elder Lyons at the Citadel) will stay marked as unfinished, even after you've completed the quest.
