Notes[]
- You have to make sure all the switches are off around it before you take it. If you do take it with the switches on you will lose a good amount of your hit points. Alternatively, there is a room next to the coil with a computer terminal inside requiring 75 science to hack. That terminal releases a failsafe that allows you to get the Tesla coil.
Behind the scenes[]
The Tesla coil was invented by Nikola Tesla for the transfer of electricity from point to point without any wires.
Bugs[]
- It is possible to take more than one Tesla coil by activating the reactor after you take the first one. You will take shock damage if you didn't turn off the switches and a message will pop up saying something along the lines of "Tesla coil added", however, you will still only have one Tesla coil in your inventory.
- If wearing a deathclaw gauntlet when you take the Tesla coil without turning off the switches or by any other means, other than jumping in and grabbing the coil, the deathclaw gauntlet will retain the blue tinge from the shock until taken off.
