After helping Bill Ronte in the quest High Times you can drink water directly from the pump for free.

He takes care of the water pump installed at Freeside, but you need to pay caps if you wish to drink water from it or you can buy bottled water from him.

Notes[]

  • If for some reason you kill Tapper before completing the quest High Times, the water from the pump will never be available without being considered stealing, but you don't lose karma. If any Kings see you drink, they will attack you.
  • His bottled water supply restocks on Mondays and Thursdays, and he always restocks purified water x12, making him an excellent resource on hardcore mode.
