See Ronto. And I don't think there will be a DLC for it, at least not before the Commonwealth, which has been known for a while too. 74.215.110.151 20:54, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

"center of three, flowing irradiated rivers" should be "center of three flowing, irradiated rivers" I would've editted it myself, but it's locked :)

Damn!

I don't have high-speed internet and Xbox Live account so I can't get all of the DLC's! big bummer.I will still enjoy playing the original, but still...(sigh)Leea 17:59, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Well if it's like Operation: Anchorage, you might find that it doesn't quite justify the cost anyway. tour86rocker 18:43, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
yep, same over here. I think they seel it for to much! 800 ms points is a lot of money for max 5 hours of gameplay. at TES: Oblivion they selled their dc for decent prices.AntAgonizer 19:24, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
I didn't like Anchorage because it played completely unlike the original Fallout 3 -- too linear. The Pitt is much more sandboxy with lots to explore. Yes, you can make it through in 5 hours or less, but you can spend more time exploring in it if you wish, such as getting 90-100 ingots for the rewards. The only problem with it is if you are on Level 20 going in, it is way too easy. The big battles in the hole are each over in less than a minute. The Trogs are no more challenging than Feral Ghouls, if that. It may be better going in at a lower level when it would be more challenging and the rewards (and Ammo Press) would be more needed and appreciated.

Release date

IT says on xbox live it will be out february

Bethesda originally announced it for February but in the latest interview they said the DLCs will be 5-6 weeks apart, making the date for The Pitt early March and Broken Steel mid-April. // Porter21 U | T 20:35, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Not entirely true. January was spread out over 5 weeks this year. 1st of january started on a thursday. Tuesday the 27th was when the first DLC was released, but the 1st of Feb. fell on sunday that same week. Even though its just 1 day, it still counts as week 1. Going from this, we can conclude that the next dlc will be released somewhere in between 23 - 28 Feb. Hessen 09:25, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

The day 5 weeks after Jan 27th is March 3rd. // Porter21 U | T 09:31, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

The first day of week 5 started with Monday the 26th of january and ended with sunday the the first of feb. so if you count that as week 1, then the 23 - 28 feb will fall in in the 5th week after the first DLC. Hessen 09:54, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

You two are arguing over a matter of days. Let it go. They will release it when they feel like releasing it. In the meantime, play the shiny new DLC we have now. Benjamin Malin 10:00, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

I'm not arguing, it will come out when it comes as far as I'm concerned. However, Todd Howard explicitly says "It'll probably be early March-ish now" in the interview and March 3rd is still 5 weeks after Jan 27th, even if it might be in the 6th calendar week if you include the week of OA release ;-) // Porter21 U | T 10:07, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

We weren't arguing, merely explaining different views and standpoints :-P Hessen 10:19, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

Its still arguing and its still March-ish MaulYoda

That "Shiny new expansion didn't last me that long...... it was fun but meh it was glitchy and felt more like a test for new stuff and animation more than an expansion.

Possible Plot

I was talking to kodiac and i though that the plot could have something to do with the saving or killing of the mutated people in the area, or finding a cure for them, or saving slaves, or helping the slavers. --J.J.-Lopez 02:08, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

and maybe more slavery means or ways to do it I am more intersted in the items you get. Useful raider armor, anybody?

I think the pitt will add a lot more stuff. I've also realized that your actions may even tie in with the citizens of Rockopolis, who were all taken as slaves and sent to the pit. You may get a chance to restore the city. --Clean Up 22:47, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

That would be really cool though. Having a "new" city to travel to.

Restoring Rockopolis would be pretty cool. I was disappointing finding out it was just a ruin with Argyle's corpse in it. I was listening to "The Adventures of Herbert Dashwood" and I thought it was a real, intact city. This is probably because I never got to hear the ending where the slavers destroyed the whole place. I can just imagine that whole place being re-expanded and filled with a whole bunch of Trogs. Maybe even a new player house? 64.53.156.55 18:10, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

Correction to the main page

The main article indicates that the Lone Wanderer will reach The Pitt by Railroad. This is incorrect. In OXM Podcast #150 Todd Howard of Bethesda said that you will reach The Pitt by underground railroad. An underground railroad is a clandestine method of transporting people over great distances - such as the one that was used to get escaped slaves from the South to the North prior to the US Civil War. This does not mean a train.

Wasn't that referenced by that one android chick who can run up to you in the middle of nowhere? She gives you the android component and you can ask about if she helps humans. That said, are we sure they don't literally mean a railroad that's underground? It seems kind of strange that they would use the term for the escaped slave people, since I've always thought it specifically meant the one during the US Civil War. PositronicSpleen 19:42, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
Heh. It's pretty funny how people don't take things literally sometimes... Ownun00bs 01:09, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

You use a handcart along a railroad track. :]--Ecksplisit 20:35, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Hahaha. That makes so much more sense. XD.- Joshcee116

It could be referencing the way the slavers smuggle slaves and not the slaves escaping --J.J.-Lopez 23:31, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Well amybe there will be a random canterbury commons tie in

I read the uk edition of OXm,and apparently the leader of the raiders has found a cure for mutation, and something has gone to shit over it,Also the leader seems to have a good 'tache Werewolfhell 18:32, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

Well, the article contains "One major quest has you taking on the role of a slave, investigating rumours that the Raider boss has found a cure for mutation". Seems the same to me, isn't it? // Porter21 U | T 18:34, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

The one thing that confuses me is:why the hell would a raider boss swant to care about a cure for mutation, hes a raider for gods sake,he should probably be saying "hmm, lets go blow shit up and kill people" rather than "oh noes, wastelanders are mutated, must save !!1!!1111!!!!" Werewolfhell 18:40, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

Your talking about raiders their hobbies include killing people, torturing people and... well that's it. It's very unlikely that the raider leader made it himself I mean when was the last time you heard of a Raider Scientist? He is probably too stupid to make it himself he might of found it from somewhere (or somone) else or he may of lied about it to keep the slaves from revolting. Johndn18--90.211.186.29 00:32, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

what if these "wastelanders" are killing his men? (RG)

Ya, and it turns out his miracle cure is cave fungus. Raiders certainly have enough of the raw materials, if ya know what I mean.
Not to point out the obvious, but surely a mutated wastelander slave is alot less obedient than a regular scrawny little wastelander slave? And most likely alot taller, harder, faster, strong..(not to mension uglier). Seems reason enough to want a cure in my eyes. No cure, no slaves, no LOOT! :p--Foligno 10:08, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

No point.Werewolfhell 17:29, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Of course a raider would care about a cure for mutations imagine how much money he or she could make with itJhonteay 19:31, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Having the cure to any manner of terminal illness or mutation that afflicts a majority of a settlement's population would almost certainly grant the cure-holder unconditional power over the afflicted. Saying that there's no point to having such a cure is ridiculous. Not all Raiders are mindless, murdering cannibals. -SagaDC

Quest Length

Am I the only one who's a little bummed that the next two expansion packs will both be as short as Operation Anchronage? Maybe if The Pitts and Broken Steel are a bit more expansive and let you explore more than Anchronage they'll be better but come on Anchronage was SHORT and we all know it.

Although short, the next two expansion packs will add a load more things to the game.. Level increase, weapons, clothes, more perks. Who knows, maybe the pitts will allow us to take on the role of a raider more officially? Dispite the bugs, getting them out to us as fast as they are is commendable also.--Foligno 13:32, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
I put a good 10 hours into Anchorage. And the new weapons and armor are really awesome. And it was a fun change from the mutated wasteland. If you take the time to make the most out of the DLC and not just play through it once and be over with it, you'll appreciate it more. I know I did. Especially since I have this unlimited CND gauss rifle. It's my main wep.

Added rad resistance

Can someone who can edit this page please change the 3rd perk in the list into a link. Thanks Jetty 78.150.76.226 20:30, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

"Added Rad Resistance" isn't the real name of the perk, so an article for the perk hasn't been made yet. Once the name is known, the article for it will follow. 74.215.110.151 23:43, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

Or the article will be made anyway... 74.215.110.151 23:45, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

The page can be moved easily once the real name is known, it's not really a problem. We had the same with some of the OA equipment. -- Porter21 (talk) 23:59, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

MARCH,24 2009!!!!! me thinks

Red Raider Armour.

I believe, that the Red Raider Armour, is a slave clothing, for working in The Pitt when fighting Trogs. Quote: "once you've dressed yourself in some sweaty clothes from a nearby corpse in a slave pen" (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/fallout-3-the-pitt-hands-on)Jetholt (Jetty) 21:50, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

Hahaa. "You're not locked in there with them. They're locked in there with you." Epic watchmen quote. And I believe the sweaty clothes are regular slaver clothes. He says somewhere towards the end that you pick up new raider clothing. And the red raider armor is most obviously... well. Raider armor.Ecksplisit 00:15, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

In this interview: http://planetfallout.gamespy.com/articles/interviews/631/Interview-With-Jeff-Gardiner Jeff Gardiner claims that there will be a "new, stylised power armour." Could this be it? - Five Dog 17:43, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Most likely not. Doesn't seem too stylised to me. And if it were, I think Bethesda needs to work on their style. ^^; --Ecksplisit 20:38, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

On the main page, under the 'Story' section, the final sentence, "The Pitt will have no vendors, so reasons to come back aren't many, but Bethesda has not officially said whether or not you will actually be able to in the first place.", is incorrect. Senior Producer, Jeff Gardiner, has stated for the record that you will be able to return to the Pitt & that there will be repeatable quests for you to do. Link: http://planetfallout.gamespy.com/articles/interviews/631/Interview-With-Jeff-Gardiner Quote: Will it be as long to complete as Operation Anchorage, a bit more, a bit less?

It will be about the same amount of time – however the Raider settlement will be forever open to players who purchase the content, and there are several repeatable quests that unlock as well.

Unique Vendors?

Where does it say in the interview that the Pitt will have vendors?

there is no vendors in the pitt, it says in the interview (but i hope it will have vendors). 74.51.43.220 23:37, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Actually, in this interview he states that you can go back to the Pitt to "visit it's unique vendors". -> Under the question: How long is it in terms of play time? Including all side-quests etcetera?
Edit, The vendors aren't in the actual Pitt, I assume.

I figured they were talking about Everett, who gives you a good item every 10 Steel Ingots.--Swizzler 14:55, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

Shalebridge Strikes Back!

It seems the ol' ant nest has competition for most unprovoked crashes. The extra month really helped...? F*** UP

PaperZero:I downloaded it and there is so many errors i cant even begin to explain

Yeah Errors everywhere when i approach the pit, how many other people got this? - jon

I got it too. My friend tried to download it just now and it said it can't be retrieved from xbox live. Fixing it maybe? Oh well, its all cosmetic so far, I am going to play through as is unless it gets really bad. - TinyPenguininja

my game just froze up after entering the door to the pitt downtown (or something like that) got stuck on the loading screen - jon

Jon, I had that same problem. Thrice. Pisses me off, but can't find any solutions yet, so I'm just gonna keep trying. Do you believe THAT!!?? Tom

Tom, Mines just frozen in the same place for the second time. Looks like I'll wait for them to fix it before i can play, not that they care seeing as they have my 800 points already

My words exactly, Jon. Fuck 'em. Feels as if I've been stoked for nothing the last few weeks. Droopy face. We're just gonna have to wait it seems. I'll give it one more try, maybe two, then do another update. The loading clock thingy in the bottom of the screen froze up at 11, how about yours? Tom

PaperZero: I heard so many things from so many diffrent forums this is a major blow to DLC that wont soon be forgotten

Yep I've been psyched for this, woke up pretty early to get it downloading and now i can't play it. Will have to wait i guess. I'm not going to try any further because I don't feel I should waste my time and just get more wound up, I'll wait till someone says it's been fixed. Tom, I'm not sure about the first time but I think it was at 11 and the second time it was definitely 11 o'clock on the load clock. Looks like DLC is having problems with being fully workedo ut before release - jon

I've just come to that same point and had it persistently freeze up on the load scfreen to enter downtown. What a disappointment- reddragon7175

Looks like we've all paid for about 5-10 minutes of extra content so far, which mainly consists of fighting a few raiders and crossing a booby-trapped bridge - jon

Yeah it's quite unbelievable. Six or seven tries, still getting nowhere. Super shitty. You guys know where to look when the problem's been solved? 'Cause I don't. - Tom

No idea Tom, but connecting to xbox live later and seeing if Fallout forces an update will probably be a good indication - jon

PaperZero: I bet Bethesda are shitting themselves right now

Bethesda is getting such a bad reputation right now. They had better fix this. They have to. But you have to wonder, did they even try this on an Xbox 360?--173.24.160.179 12:03, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Probably doing headless chicken routines now, or they're all just enjoying a rest they think is well-earned. This is indeed a major fuck up. I'll stop complaining for now. Has anyone been able to go inside the Downtown area yet? - Tom

no xbox 360 owner can go in the downtown ontill the patch comes out - dakota

PaperZero: I managed to make it downtown (dont belevie me check my gamerscore) ITS A BAD PLACE

Paper, Bad place? how so? bad as in oh my god they didn't finish it, or bad as in it's a nasty grim place (fitting for the world of fallout) - Jon

PaperZero: Well when I got close to buildings some parts became see through other parts turned into rainbow graphics I also managed to reach the mill which was just fine except for one red triangle of death

Great, Ever since I saw that first red triangle to the left of the bridge approach I knew my plans for the day were ruined, Damn you Bethesda - Jon

mine also just freezes on the loading screen for downtown, this is really poor from bethesda, last time i buy a game from them and that includes the next dlc for fallout 3 - aob86

Damn, I was just about to download it over xbox live when I spotted this discussion. Are the bugs just on the 360 version? Has there been any confirmation from the other platforms? ZombieCancer 12:39, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

I heard most errors will be fixed if you redownload it. Broeman 12:41, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

downloaded again (took about 5 seconds so i think it didnt do much) and got into the pit first time now, but still have errors everywhere - Jon

Try deleting it off your hard drive, then redownloading it. --212.219.81.181 13:03, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

downloaded it again and still freezes on the loading screen for downtown - aob86

Jesus Christ! This thing has so many friggin bugs it's not even funny! Many things have glitchy textures, the game froze when I tried to get downtown, there are floating exclamation points everywhere [not even joking], and I've been sitting in front of my Xbox for 10 minutes because it's still saying that it's loading extra content. Maybe Bethesda should have tried, oh, I don't know, playtesting this thing BEFORE releasing it?! And also, has anybody actually gotten downtown yet? Broeman 13:46, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

marks out of 10 for bethesda -10/10

can anyone post info when the update is out doubting it is today like but hoping it is cause this DLC has really let them down - ben

PaperZero: After I was done in my awesome time in downtown hell i decided to take this one time chance to explore outside the map they had random buildings and an army of triangles to the north west of the main bridge

Am I the only one cracking up at this? This is probably one of the funniest things to ever happen on Fallout 3. Theres mapping errors everywhere, how did Bethsda miss that? At first I was thinking it was some sort of warning sign from the raiders, then I noticed all the floating objects and the walkthrough walls. It's like Big Rigs Offroad Racing, did they even try to play this? And that Werhner guys voice is so fricken annoying. They shouldn't have rushed this, probably the worst thing Bethsda is ever done.

Bethesda's # is (410) 568-3685 any advice they gave me was useless cuz the game still froze at the downtown gate.

I have just found out that this is microsoft's fault, not Beth's. I've been on the official Bethesda forums, and they all say that if you are on the PC, downloading, deleting, then downloading again will make the Pitt work fine. It appears that the file microsoft put on the Marketplace is 150 MBs too small, so it's probably missing a lot of stuff. As of now, the Pitt is impossible to play on 360. Hopefully the game will be fixed sometime today. Broeman 15:20, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

For everyone's benefit, could you post a link to that thread? The14th 15:25, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

From the official Bethesda Blog: "We are continuing to look into the issues people are experiencing with The Pitt for Xbox 360. As of now it looks like the file for the English version on Xbox Live was somehow corrupted. We are currently working with Microsoft to remove the existing file off of Live to prevent any further downloads. Our plan is to replace it with a new file as soon as possible. We hope to have another update for you shortly". Posted by gstaff on Tuesday, March 24th, 2009 at 10:35 am [1]

I just checked the F3 forums and they said they were gonna remove the file, which they've done now btw. So, remove the file, The Pitt, from the 360 memory and wait an hour or two, then check back in and see if they've uploaded a new file.

Good news! I checked to see if the Pitt file on the Game Marketplace was updated, and I can't access it even though my internet is working, so they probably removed the corrupted version. Broeman 16:01, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Will there AN UPDATE OR WILL WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF THE PITT save go to dashboard remove the pitt and wait for the new one to come out - ben

So is the Pitt available only for Xbox Live Gold members? When I tried downloading it the first time it came back with an error message (I assume because off all the errors going on it was removed causing me to see that error). The second time I was told I needed to update my membership to Gold to access it. If this is true then Microsoft screwed me over by allowing me to buy the points, screwed me over by screwing up the download, and almost screwed me a third time by me almost being tempted to update to Gold (I have no use for online multiplayer so I haven't updated). What turds, my day is ruined. MasterGuns 16:32, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

omfg you really need xbox live gold? mine expired yesterday (RG)

Microsoft has been making Silver wait an extra week, that started last year. SpellChecker 21:32, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

They'd better not make me pay another 800 points. I'm psyched as fuck for the working version, does anyone know if it's up there already? - Tom

Bethsda said that you will not have to pay for it again, you just simpily have to redownload it. (which is free) If Microsoft does however make us pay, we can sue them for not giving us a refund.

Sure we could, except for the fact that the message at the bottom of the description says 'no refunds are available for this item' or something like that. but i don't think we will have to pay again. i hope not anyway.

No, you won't have to pay again, jesus. SpellChecker 21:32, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Yea i read that when the new version is posted it will be in an update when you start up the game or something like that.

One of the comments on the blog says you'll have to delete it then redownload it (which is free).

I'm so disappointed. I took a day off just to play through it, and now I'm wishing I did that tomorrow. Broeman 00:57, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

Alright, on the blog, an update states that they are putting in final touches, and it should be up by tomorrow. http://bethblog.com/index.php/2009/03/24/issues-with-the-pitt/

Over 24 hours and we're still waiting, anyone fancy taking bets on when we get it? - Jon

Calm down. It's just a game........

No, It's a let down, and pretty pathetic. I've paid for a product I haven't recieved.

yes, you can only say 'it's just a game' when someone is destroying his house when he got a headshot at cod4. this is like a computer you just bought and find out that there is no hardware in it at all. And the shop has just moved

Ok, you've turned me. I agree. I also didn't expect something like this from Bethesda. Just look at their creations like Oblivion and Fallout 3, of course. I see it through your eyes now. Screw Bethesda.

My suggestion would be that we all throw a big tantrum about it, because presumably that will somehow achieve a result we desire. Seriously, though, this is hardly the first time a company has had unexpected difficulties with a product they just released. You have to realize that they were in a situation that was veritably no-win. If they took longer to test the product, ensuring a smoother launch, then people would just be kicking and screaming about how long it took to get out in the first place. On the other hand, they instead opted to release it sooner rather than later, and now people are kicking and screaming about how something went wrong because they didn't take their time. You paid for your product. You're going to get it, barring Windows Live suddenly climbing onto a spaceship and flying to the moon. Really, I think Bethesda has been quite apologetic and reasonable about the whole thing. - SagaDC

Saga, your comments would be valid if they had even made the slightest attempt at testing their download from live on a 360. Hell, a half-decent software team should notice the version of the file they uploaded was quite a bit smaller than it was supposed to be. It would have taken then all of 30 minutes to download the DLC on an 360, load it, go to the Pitt, and notice the problems.

This was caused by laziness, pure and simple.

Just thought you would all like to know, I just checked on the marketplace and I'm downloading it now, and yes it IS free if you already had the glitched version.

unfortunatly there are still many problems with the new version like for me it freezes when i try to get to the place with the slave outfit thus making it impossible for me to play the pitt..hopefully theyll fix that too we'll probably have to wait a few days before theyll recall it then re add it to the Live market place...lets hope so.LuciusZelgius 05:03, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Way to activate the Data file?

I used the method on the Anchorage page on the Pitt, but recently I broke my disk drive, so cannot activate the Data File... I can still launch the game, through the direct "Non-launcher" way... So... How do I make it use the data file? Just so you know, I have my files already in Fallout3\Data...Jetholt (Jetty) 17:29, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

download a no cd crack off the internet then you can do it the launcher way - aob86

Uhm, no. I can launch the game, without illegalties, thanks. I just need to use the "Data Files" option, without the disk. A No CD would just let me launch the game...Jetholt (Jetty) 21:57, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

You can't load the data file without using the launcher. Using a no-cd crack is not illegal as long as you own the game. No-cd cracks are designed to save you disc from scratches etc that occur from handling the discs. Been using them since 98 and are only illegal if you do not own thegame. kingclyde

Fallout3 Nexus is down at the moment, but when it comes back up, go grab FOMM- the Fallout Mod Manager- it lets you reorder and de/activate data files without going through the launcher. --Redshift87 23:15, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

PC Version Works Fine

The main page claims that both the PC and the Xbox 360 version of the DLC are corrupt... mine downloaded fine, the only "glitch" is that it has a runtime error upon exiting the game with no harm to my saves or data files... am I the only one with a working copy of the DLC?? :D--Swizzler 14:52, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

I hate you.. =P Nah just kidding, but if the PC version works I'm tempted to buy it so I can get my DLC - Jon
Works for me too, I've already completed all the quests. The new gear is sweet. SpellChecker 16:33, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
Works fine here (PC), except for one bug where the blade on the AutoAxe doesn't show when I ready it/fight with it. It's easily fixed by removing the Axe and re-equipping it though. Dcruze 17:28, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
Same here, is anyone else getting a runtime error upon exiting fallout 3 now? Also I checked GFW: Live and it appears you can buy it. I think we should correct the front page saying that both PC and Xbox 360 versions are screwed up, as it appears only the Xbox 360 version is.--Swizzler 17:45, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
On the PC, I also get the axe disappearing after one session of fighting it, and I now also get a Runtime Error after exiting. Apart from those problems, it works fine. Completed twice now already :) –RpehTCE 22:13, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

I get the runtime error also, I removed it and downloaded again after the 360 version went back up just to see if it might have been fixed, but nope. Besides the runtime error and the autoaxe disappearing, it runs fine. Still, the crash on exit is really annoying, and since none of the new gear is going to replace my current stealth armor/gauss rifle loadout, I'm just going to remove the content so I don't have to deal with that runtime error. Anyone have any word when its coming today?--24.158.71.45 17:12, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

It is, at least I think, Gstaff from the beth forums said it is. Sektor8 17:15, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

What about a time or even a speculation of time, like next few hours, tonight?--24.158.71.45 17:25, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

Please, give us a link to the page where he said that! --Sentinel 101 17:28, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
Nevermind, found it myself: [2]--Sentinel 101 18:18, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

1:27 central time and the pit is back up on marketplace only 47% togo till i get to see if all the bugs are fixed(Rifts Juicer 18:29, 25 March 2009 (UTC))

I thought the levels were raised to 30 from 20 with this new content? I have yet to recieve any experience points.

That is the next one Broken SteelPACMAN Waka Waka 20:58, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

I just played through part of it and when I got to the Arena part I just encountered major glitches again. WTF Bethesda. Anybody else experiencing this?

I dunno but the framerate is choppy everywhere. In menus even and seems to be worst in the Scrapyard. It just randomly stutters and then goes back to normal, sometimes doing that a few times. The sound lags behind the actions when it does this, too, even in VATS. 68.205.81.87 00:38, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

I have played up until the firs encounter with Trogs. My only complaint thusfar is this: the first two raiders I killed did the whole inkblot in the sky thing, only with their bodies instead of an inkblot. It was pretty annoying but none of the trogs or raiders I've killed since have done anything similar. 66.194.103.100 00:51, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

Help!

I want to get the Pitt and i havent bought the old corrupted version but I keep hearing how bad the new one is cuz of bugs, im level 20. Should i get it or not?

First off, make sure you have the latest patch, here's what the Bethesda blog says to do:

1) Make sure you have the 1.4 update (Which is the latest patch). This is needed for running The Pitt. From the title screen, make go to settings, then Display, and check to see that you have V 1.4.

2) If you haven’t already, try a cache clear for the game: While the game is booting, simultaneously hold the “Left Bumper,” “Right Bumper” and “X” buttons until you reach the title screen.

After that, Bethesda claims that the DLC works. I've made (and I recommend that everyone makes) a new save for The Pitt that way if it screws up I can just delete that one and play the old one that I know for a fact works.

I myself haven't had and freezes or seen any bugs yet, but I'm only at the bridge. Panzer89 00:44, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

The Pitt still not fixed

The Pitt still freezes (both on 360 and PC)

This is a video example (not made by me) -- "The Circle of Death"

http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.php?s=&showtopic=971110&view=findpost&p=14028888 --Skober. 09:07, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

The modder Quarn (of Unofficial Oblivion Patch fame) has released a fix for the "circle of death" bug on PC. I've tested it and it fixed my crashing; a lot of other people on the Bethesda forums are also reporting success. Here's the link to the patch: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5152 --Redshift87 23:22, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

So what did everybody else think? (Spoilers)

For once I managed to install a Fallout patch smooth as silk on an old(ish) computer. Patch 1.4 is the first time I've been able to do that.

This DLC had some nice atmosphere. I like the new ambience sounds and textures in the Pitt. I thought they could have made more out of the escape, for some reason an old Commodore 64 game called "The Great Escape" comes to mind, which was a lot more elaborate.

I played through this with one my low karma level 20 power player, so I had no troubles with the arena fights, I thought that part could have been a little longer and harder as well. Reminds me a little of the arena fight in KoTOR (which was harder). I think it would be a lot more rewarding playing at very low levels, like straight out of the vault.

I liked the claustrophobia of not having my usual gear, I wish that part had gone on a little bit longer.

There's a lot of new gear in this one, so it's definitely better than buying a horse armor - but it could have had a little more questing going on, maybe a new boss character. It's good, but not great.

Dcruze 13:17, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

Can anyone who has completed the pitt tell me if kodiak has any dialogue regarding the "bear brothers" thanks.

DLC Requirement?

Is Operation: Anchorage DLC needed to play The Pitt? --Azncutthroat 23:01, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

No, none of the DLC released so far requires anything other than updated patches to work.Panzer89 00:00, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

DLC Infobox?

does anyone know why The Pitt infobox still says the DLC isn't out yet? Is there anyway we can get it fixed? Are we supposed to remove the infoboxes? I noticed the OP:Anchorage articles don't have them... --Swizzler 03:37, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

I was taking a break from the wiki at the time, so I don't know what they did with the OA boxes, but it appears they got changed to go in the upper right corner and merely show that whatever the article is about belongs to OA. If I knew what they did I'd change it myself... the problem is I can't even find the OA template. --Macros 05:00, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Yeah I was poking around and it looks like the code that makes the infobox on The Pitt related articles is still there for OP:Anchorage, but like you said, just puts the game name up in the corner, I guess the admins just haven't got around to changing the template and removing the boxes yet.--Swizzler 05:04, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Some Question

When you get your equipment taken up, and you have the Winterized Combat Armor, when you get your stuff back, does it still give you the WCA back? 71.90.161.0 01:36, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Ronto

I keep hearing this referanced by raiders and slaves. I'm guessing it's what's left of Toronto. Anybody else hear about it? I smell DLC... TunnelSnake 15:58, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

And i smell gas...64.222.110.136 20:02, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

See Ronto. And I don't think there will be a DLC for it, at least not before the Commonwealth, which has been known for a while too. 74.215.110.151 20:54, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
