Video on OWB page. Trolly Polly Olly 23:25, May 31, 2011 (UTC)
Can't we just wait until we know the name of it? This happened with Honest Hearts and everything got a bit messy AVNM 18:47, June 1, 2011 (UTC)
Sonic emitter. Disables things. Unlocks things. Sounds like it's based off of Dr Who.
hmm...Sonic screwdriver in pistol form anyone?
securitrons mk.3 break in[]
if this can break a force field than i should use it to break into the securitrons testing area in the lucky 38 and watch them closely and see if they hid anything back there like maybe all of his caps in a 100 lockpick safe--Corporal grif 08:24, June 6, 2011 (UTC)
Unfortunately, the Sonic Emitter will not allow you to do that. It doesn't work on that forcefield -- only forcefields within Old World Blues. --173.166.98.61 23:05, July 16, 2011 (UTC)
Unique Version?[]
How do we know the red version is unique, and not an upgrade? (CarlOnFire 23:21, July 13, 2011 (UTC))
You are correct. The red version is a modded version of the Sonic Emitter you are given at the beginning of the DLC, not a unique weapon. --173.166.98.61 23:04, July 16, 2011 (UTC)
What upgrade do you need to get a red one? --With care and happiness, Supermutantslayer450' You will know the truth... And the truth will set you free.. 21:05, July 19, 2011 (UTC)
There are five upgrades for the Sonic Emitter which are found around Big MT, and can be changed at anytime at the Jukebox at The Sink. (plyr1 04:47, July 19, 2011 (UTC))
Forcefields[]
How do I use this weapon against the forcefields. I've tried shooting the field and any near by computer/control interface and nothing happens. Why? Epzo 08:06, July 20, 2011 (UTC)
Yeah same here - I tried it on some forcefields and it didn't work...Am i doing it wrong? Is there some other setting on the gun...
Metro Tunnel Rat
You gotta do a part of the main quest series to get the upgrade to disable the forcefields using the weapon. Just keep questing.--Eckrack 07:31, July 21, 2011 (UTC)
Possible Doctor Who reference?[]
Anyone else think this might be a reference to Doctor Who? After all it looks remarkably similar to the Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver, just turned into a gun.--Alpha Lycos 23:01, July 21, 2011 (UTC)
Meltdown perk compatibility?[]
Anyone know how the upgrades (Tarantula, Opera Singer, etc.) interact with the Meltdown perk? My EW character is about to level up, but hasn't done OWB yet. Don't want to choose Meltdown if it screws up the Sonic emitter effects later. Could be useful info for the page. Thanks, --FourWayDiablo 14:44, July 25, 2011 (UTC)
Ammo use?[]
I noticed that Revelation uses one ammo. I upgraded to Gabe's Bark and it became 2 ammo use. Tarantula became 3 ammo use. Does the ammo use go up with each change, or did I happen to take the tunes in the order of ammo increase? Slaya33 19:41, July 30, 2011 (UTC) Here ya go. Until I can get it to work in the infobox.
- ammo use=Gabriel's Bark 2
Opera Singer 1
Revelation 1
Robo-Scorpion 3
Tarantula 3
--Kingclyde 22:35, July 30, 2011 (UTC)
Hmmm, is Tarantula powerful enough to balance 3 ammo use? I guess Gabe's Bark is the best based on ammo use to damage. Slaya33 03:14, July 31, 2011 (UTC)
Obtaining/Purchasing more than 3??[]
Ok, so the Sink Central Intelligence Unit updates every 3 days..i guess (it only updated twice and it's been like a full in-game month..anyway), i have 3 sonic emitters..has ANYONE been able to obtain more..?? --DrunkenSushi 07:03, August 2, 2011 (UTC)
Unusable by Companions?[]
Giving this weapon (seemingly in any upgrade) to either Veronica or Arcade seems to be fruitless (XBox 360). They'll equip it when given energy cells, but when enemies are around they draw, sit there for a second, then pull out their default weapon. Am I running into a bug, a range script, or is this true in all cases? 99.169.252.248 07:22, August 14, 2011 (UTC)
