Locked Door[]

Is there any key in existence that will open the locked closet in the supply plant? I created a character that's a heavy hitter, and his lockpick skill is only 17. I have all the other ingots except the ones in that room, and I'd hate to miss out on the achievement. If not, can I come back and get them later to get the achievement? I don't know if I have to have all 100 in my inventory, or if I just have to eventually give them all to the foreman whenever I want. Any clarification would greatly help. I have never found a key and usually the game will mention if a lock is key-only, which that one is not. I am guessing that you are starting a new character, in which case I would probably skip this DLC until later. Otherwise, you need to get your Lockpick and Science up to at least 25 each. That's a bare minimum for getting through the game. As for the achievement, you just need to turn them all in to the foreman, in as many or few trips as you care to.--Tonicboy 08:10, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

misc[]

On step 21, right beside the wildman shack there is only on bridge and it turns left with no 2 ingots near the end. help? --J.J.-Lopez 01:17, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

It's not on a bridge, it's on a long rusted pipe. B0B X 11:20, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

The location has been clarified in the latest edits.--Tonicboy 18:58, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Disclaimer on top needs to be changed from saying The Pitt is an upcoming DLC to saying that it is the second DLC or something along those lines.

Possible Bug: After collecting all 100 Ingots, the Mill Worker achievement does not unlock. --Hytseraph 18:49, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

You need to turn the ingots into the foreman in order to unlock the achievement. B0B X 19:32, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Ingots[]

can you still collect all the ingots after you complete the pitt?Jhonteay 16:38, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Yes B0B X 19:32, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Do you still get stuff? --Cc123 04:29, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Found out myself--- Yes --Cc123 15:32, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

  • What do you get? The same as the actual quest, or useless stuff?--Jimimorrison 03:35, November 23, 2009 (UTC)

Ingot Credit[]

Guys, can we discuss the issue of the "full credit"? I am with Ausir in that I don't think a Wiki is any place for self-promotion. On the one hand, the original content was a huge contribution and of course we are all very grateful for it. On the other hand, there are plenty of people who contribute every day and the premise of a Wiki and really anything FOSS is that people contribute voluntarily. There is no payment of any kind, which includes gratuitous plugs or self-promotion. Is it now cool for me to post a link to my blog if I contribute a few paragraphs of content? As for the video link, there are built-in tools to post YouTube videos and the such already.--Tonicboy 04:17, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Merge[]

As usual for any kind of collection quest/achievement we have two seperate lists of item locations, in this case at this article and another one at Steel Ingot#Locations. The two lists should be merged at the item page and only be linked to from this page. -- Porter21 (talk) 07:34, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

Disagree. I think the item page should have the description of the Ingot(s)--short and sweet--and this quest page should have the location list, being it deals specifically and absolutely with collecting all the ingots and hence their locations. --24.127.67.195 18:29, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

I think that this article, being it is for the quest and not the ingots themselves, should have a link to the steel ingots article where the location list should reside. Having a redundant list here makes no sense and just adds to clutter. Kingclyde 23:23, 14 April 2009 (UTC)kingclyde
