Spinning Mezzed NPCs

Heh, had a funny experience with this one. I originally did not know that mezzed people spun around when they were mezzed. I shot one of the slavers while they were sitting in a bench, and they spun around until someone popped their head off :P

A few things

From the 'Notes' section:

1. Enslaving anyone results in negative karma, regardless of how evil they are. As Three Dog exclaims, "the selling of live human beings is completely fucked up!".

I feel the Three Dog part should be removed; it's indicating that his words are law. It's common knowledge slavery is wrong.

2. The game will keep track of how many characters that you have "mezzed". You can access this information with your Pip-Boy.

I feel this should be changed to make it clearer; this indicated that you can access the information of the people you mezzed; you cannot, you can only access the amount of people you've mezzed. I think this should be changed so that it says you can access the amount of people you've mezzed, but nothing about the victims. <- whoever wrote this is a dumbass who cant read, it says you can view "how many characters that you have "mezzed" "

3. "Mezzing" anyone in the Citadel Laboratory will automatically frenzy them (after the quest "The American Dream"). Also, any witnesses will not turn hostile to the player.

Should this not be "any witnesses WILL turn hostile to the player"?

If nobody has any objections within 24 hours, I shall go ahead and make the changes.

I have no objections to #1; nor to #2 if you use "number of people" rather than "amount of people." As far as #3 goes, I would recommend either testing it, or leaving it as is. It could go either way, so without firsthand knowledge it's best to leave it be. Kris (talk) 14:48, July 18, 2010 (UTC)
::2 is fine as is. The pronoun, "this information", is referring to "how many characters that you have mezzed". It's fine. Also, I think the first one is fine as is. You are correct, slavery is wrong, however; slavery is beginning to catch on in the Wasteland, and it's the player's choice whether they want to participate in it or not. And Three Dog is more or less the mentor of the wastes. Tgp1994 15:02, July 18, 2010 (UTC)
Okay, thanks guys, just a few things I thought needed clearing up, but you know I'm knew here so just wanted to check! I shall leave all be :) TobiasSmith 17:56, July 19, 2010 (UTC)

statistics way off

i would just like to point out the statistics are way off i tried to enslave a megaton setter and it took me way more the 35+ times before he actualy was mezzed

I would agree. I just gave up after 5 tries assuming it was impossible to enslave whatever generic npc I was trying to enslave at the time. 15:18, August 29, 2010 (UTC)
The statistics only apply to specific NPCs. There should be a list of who can and can't be enslaved somewhere... Nitty Tok. 15:20, August 29, 2010 (UTC)
Also, bear in mind that random is random. A 20% chance doesn't mean that you'll get it once every 5 tries, it means that you have a 20% chance each try to get it. There's never a point at which, with enough tries, a 20% chance becomes a guaranteed success, there's always a chance for failure even after 10 million tries. --Kris mailbox 17:01, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

Get a List of Who can be Enslaved?

It says in the notes that there is a faction of people who can be Enslaved, as well as a separate faction for the 4 in the "Strictly Business" quest. If anyone has FO:3 and the G.E.C.K. on their PC, they should upload the list as a new page, and link to it from this one. I'll try and see if i can find it from one of my associates, and if I can I'll upload it myself.

Here you go. While it says the list might not be complete, that's just a disclaimer. I went over the list a couple months ago and made sure it was accurate. --Kris User Hola.jpg 05:11, November 9, 2010 (UTC)
Oh good, I just spent a few hours digging through the GECK myself, and as I have no official DLC my list was far from complete. I'll add a note on the page stating where the list is. Badprenup 18:29, November 13, 2010 (UTC)

During the Strictly Business quest

It seems that mezzing always works (it sure did for me). After boosting my karma up to max, I enslaved Arkansas, afterwards finding random characters to mezz (5 TC mercs, 3 Enclave officers and a raider), before I decided to fail the quest on purpose, by cutting up Paradise falls (literally, Shishkebab and Chinese stealth armor + max sneak skill and silent running). Afterwards, the mezz rate went down, even though having TC mercs/Enclave/raiders frenzy or having heads blown off could be useful too.
