Does this armor even exist? I can't find it in any of the e3 2010 gameplay movies. 174.54.161.49 14:59, October 3, 2010 (UTC)

We won't know for sure until release. It's possible that the actual armor is named differently; that's the caveat with pre-release stuff, it's hard to get definite info, and sometimes when you can get definite info, it changes before release. --Kris User Hola 15:00, October 3, 2010 (UTC)

Yes it exists. Is pretty common and easy to find. a very good option. good DT, 10 or 12, I forgot exactly the number. But the DR is 0. Looks cool with the slave scarf.

No pic[]

Leather Armor, Reinforced

We appear to have two of these. The other one has proper capitalisation, but I'm a bit loathe to delete this one as a) it's got more information, b) I'm not sure which one everything's linking to. Calling someone with a bit more wiki experience? Zakrael 14:02, October 27, 2010 (UTC)

I've already marked the two for merging, which is something I don't have the power to do. Mictlantecuhtli 14:12, October 27, 2010 (UTC)

Sources please[]

Can I see sources for:

  • ... the claim that silent running nullifies the sneak penalty from heavier armor
  • ... the claim that the the weight of the armor is what matters, and not whether it's light/medium/heavy class armor. (In Fallout 3, there is in game documentation that armor weight affects sneaking, but in New Vegas, it's possible that the weight class might be all that affects it. If someone is going to make a claim either way, I'd like to see a source)

Reinforced leather armor == NCR faction armor?[]

Just spent 30 minutes trying to figure out why NCR all went hostile, it was my armor. Swapping it out with something else did the trick. Anyone else have this happen?

Did you wear any kind of faction armor before switching to Reinforced leather armor?Ragedaoneanlonely 15:59, November 18, 2010 (UTC)

A bug?[]

I repaired a piece of leather armor, reinforced with another piece and it turned into metal armor in my inventory. Is this a bug or an intentional feature? Info: I bought the two pieces of armor at Crimson caravan company, used one to repair the other with the intention of using the single piece to repair my lightweight leather armor at a later time.--A Pickering 05:00, December 2, 2010 (UTC)

New Gecko-Backed leather armor, reinforced.[]

Any fans of the leather armor reinforced will like this, now you can craft a set of Gecko-Backed leather armor, reinforced at a campfire. You need 3 tanned gecko hides, one of each including the new green gecko and a survival of 90 to make it. It raises the DT from 10 to 15, the weight goes from 15 to 18 and it adds +15 to rad, poison and fire resistance! It doesn’t change the appearance at all and it remains light armor. Pretty sweet deal! ReapTheChaos 17:52, May 18, 2011 (UTC)
