scripted enclave encounter[]

I got a vertibird drop party here after doing the waters of life quest. They dropped somewhere inbetween Madame Jealle's and the Mutants makeshift camp, then proceeded to fight the numerous mutants. Very amusing to just sit back and watch as the cars explode and what-not. Major carnage.

  • I love that battle. It will happen again if you go back there after three days. I think the only battle that bests this one is the Capitol Building one.

In Broken Steel this place becomes an even greater battleground, especially if the Talon goons happen to wait you up. I had 5 groups of 3-5 super mutants (including Overlords), 5 Talon goons waiting for me, the 'bird lands, dropping 3 Enclave Soldiers in Hellfire Armor and Plasma Rifles. All in all this became a major battle, making me fear for the life of Dogmeat. But I was fortunate to have Fawkes and my Vengeance with me. Lost a lot of stimpaks though. The T goons were wiped out rather quickly, although 2 managed to survive to the main battle. Between me and the Enclave there were plenty of Super Mutants so I had to make use of those soldiers. Those Hellfire Armors seem to protect the Enclave quite well, as they were the last to survive the battle before they just had to die. --Radnus 81.205.186.16 19:49, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Just wear the chinese stealth armour and watch those fools doing your work for you

Super Mutant disguised as sledgehammer?[]

At 'A' on the map I saw a Sledgehammer lying on the bed. When I hovered over it it said that it was a Super Mutant. There was no Super Mutant body nearby. If it's part of a dead Super Mutant wouldn't the player be able to separately pick up the weapon (as opposed to clicking on a body part). Does this happen more often or could this be specific to that location? 85.144.53.58 05:07, August 12, 2010 (UTC) Adaptor

There's a few corpses like that, where a dropped weapon become part of the lootable body rather than separately able to be picked up. Usually it's caused by a corpse being dead before the player first enters the area. Another example is during the escape from Project Purity during The Waters of Life, you come upon a dead Enclave soldier. As you approach him, he gets dismembered and his laser rifle slides down the stairs; trying to pick up the laser rifle results in looting the corpse. Kris mailbox 13:12, August 12, 2010 (UTC)

(most likely due to the name of the area)[]

"Just behind the metro station at L'Enfant (not L'Enfant South) there are 2 first aid boxes, a metal box, 2 empty soda bottles, and a teddy bear (most likely due to the name of the area)" I don't get it? The name of the area? L'Enfant? Soeone explain this.JaspertheViking :D? 15:13, October 3, 2010 (UTC)

Probably because "l'enfant" translates to "the infant"from French and someone linked infant with toy in their head. Whoever removed it left a space in front of the period. I'll fix that. --Rooker75 15:28, October 3, 2010 (UTC)

Ah, thanks. That needed explainging in the article.JaspertheViking :D? 15:32, October 3, 2010 (UTC)

Also, the area is a district of real-world D.C. named after the city's architect, Pierre L'Enfant, so the infant/teddy bear thing was off anyway. --Rooker75 15:39, October 3, 2010 (UTC)

Ah, but the, although the name isn't a reference to the teddy bear, the teddy bear could be a reference to the name.JaspertheViking :D? 15:41, October 3, 2010 (UTC)

Location Inconsistency[]

Has anyone else noticed that the location marked on the PipBoy does not correspond to its actual location. When standing near the entrance to the Hazmat Disposal Site L5, you can see the Washington Monument to the Northwest, but if you look at the world map, the Washington Monument is Northeast of your location. --Jimnms 08:13, October 17, 2010 (UTC)
