So... is there any... dangers within this place... like Raiders, Deathclaws, AIDS...?

As long as you're not fighting anything when you go through the door then you're safe inside. Brighton X 07:14, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

Could the last paragraph abouth the friendly Deathclaw be cleared up? First it seems like the deathclaw is your best friend in the world, and then someone made an 'Edit' stating that he WILL attack. Personally, my experience with that cage is that as soon as the officer opens it, the deathclaw will attack like he was on PCP.

The Deathclaw[]

I play on the xBox, and my experience with Dukov was his body flying by my face as a beastie smashed him into smithereens as soon as the loading screen cleared. I don't even know what he looks like... I looted his corpse, which was good, but the damn monster keeps respawning every time I go in there, chasing the women into the streets. I tried to escort Cherry to Rivet City but she won't talk to me (despite discussing wanting an escort there out loud), presumably because Dukov is dead.

Anyway, maybe I had a bum deal and it's bugged. All I know is that there is a crazed beast in Dukov's Place and it never even let me interact with Dukov - in fact, I was so startled it nearly killed me the first time. Jane Alkin 13:34, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

i'm a computerplayer and i had a deathclaw enter the building like 2 minutes after i entered. dukov and his girls all survived, nothing happened

I cannot confirm a friendly Deathclaw at this time.--Brian ranzoni 20:53, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

Location[]

I know where it is on the map. How do you get there? Tepid Sewer? What is the closest metro that will get you there?

loot[]

a nuka quantum near the bed upstairs

Around ten pre-war moneys on the pool table

Nicola tesla and me near the bed upstairs

Revision[]

This article is about Dukov, not his place. As there is already a page about Dukov, I'm revising this article to be what it is supposed to be.--Brian ranzoni 20:04, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

There. I actually kept most of the original information, but expanded and slightly rewrote it. TOC and several sections now added. I also elaborated on nearby points of interest along that bank of the Potomac. Note: this editor has not confirmed the friendly Deathclaw.
Finally, I suspect this article is detailed enough to eliminate the "Stub" box. Enjoy!--Brian ranzoni 20:51, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
Removed stub tag. Well done :) -- Porter21 (talk) 04:58, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

Zee Black Widow, She is Not Here![]

I'm the most treacherous black widow ever to stalk the Wastes, and I'm not getting an option. Could it be that my hideous Ledoux's Hockey Mask is interfering? Or is my level too high? Or did I visit Dukov too late in the game? When I start a new character for Broken Steel, I shall make like a bee for Duky boy and find out.--Brian ranzoni 20:57, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

Dukov's Place = Watergate?[]

I know there's a couple other references to Tricky Dick in the Fallout universe.. for a lark, I thought I'd cross-reference an actual map of DC to see where the Watergate complex is, and it seems that Dukov's Place is almost bang on.. conveniently also a hotel, and conveniently also a place where some naughty stuff went down. Anyone out there see it but me?

Enclave Trooper?[]

I decided to finally make my evil character for Fallout 3. I've been doing the quests quickly since I've done them several times before and I ended up in Underword and got the "You Gotta Shoot 'em in the Head" quest which led me back to Dukov's place. I got Cherry to get me his key. I decided since I haven't the achievement for level 8 neutral karma and I was a level 6 at the time, to get a bit of good karma to get the achievement. I left Dukov's place out the back and I was about to fast travel to Rivet City with Cherry and it said there were enemies nearby. I looked around to see the radroaches where the Enclave camp is set up after getting the GECK. I walked over to kill them and heard some lasers firing. Then I saw an Enclave Trooper all alone killing off the radroaches. I let him finish then I killed him myself. Is this normal for a level 6 to find an Enclave Trooper here before even going inside the Jefferson Memorial? --Editt 23:08, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

Um... well it might be a glitch cause i have met hostile and non-hostile enclave in the wasteland before going to any cities as a level 2. I found out that this happens because if you have beating the game already a new character is eliagble to get enclave encounters no mater what level or how far they are in the game.

I myself have encountered enclave BEFORE the waters of life quest. I have broken steel though, do you? Anyway my game has an enclave but that's not all. The enclave loner is always getting owned by mirelurks(he and the mirelurks respawn). Radroaches are also near but they don't attack him at all.

I think there are enclave before the waters of life, but you have to find them. I use MMM's increased increased spawns and I think without it, or normal game, there would only be a single enclave.

Areas I have encountered enclave before waters of life

-Rockbreaker's Last Gas

-Dukov's place

-Northeast of car fort GunInEveryHome 07:51, October 22, 2009 (UTC)

-East of Fairfax RuinsGW.one 20:36, March 7, 2010 (UTC)

I've seen the lone Enclave outside Dukov's too and I was only lvl-4 and I'd just started the GNR quest. I've got Broken Steel installed and I'm on the PS3. Out of curiousity I checked again (same game) when I was lvl-7 and there he was again. If it happens to anyone else, there's an explodable car pretty close to him that can help, otherwise it takes a fair chunk of ammo and stimpaks to put him down when you're low level.Draxenato 12:43, December 17, 2009 (UTC)

This is my second playthrough, this time with the GOTY Edition on the Xbox 360 with all addons and the latest patch installed. I am a Level 9 character with maxed out Bad Karma, and have not done any of the main story since escaping the vault, I have not been anywhere near the GNR Plaza. I am side-questing, and went to Dukov's Place to get his key. I obtained it through the (difficult) speech check, passed the speech check with Cherry to escort her to Rivet City and then told her I wasn't going, and then proceeded to murder the 3 inhabitants. Before looting the place bare I decided to go to Underworld and give Crowley the key, which I did (planning to pickpocket the keys once I give him the third one). I then fast-travelled back to Dukov's Place, and an Enclave Soldier was inside the house shooting at me. Storyline-wise my character has not met or heard of the Enclave yet, nor their evil intentions. AEtherchild 15:41, March 28, 2010 (UTC)

I've had similar things happen to me during Broken Steel, I went back to Dukov's Place to get back the caps I gave him from "Gotta Shot'em in the Head". Anyways when I was wondeirng around an Enclave Officer was behind the counter, firing at me and Fawkes. I didn't think he followed me there, so I expected to be a bug or just part of the DLC. I though it was odd.76.172.249.120 21:07, May 26, 2010 (UTC)

Moved[]

I moved this from the Bugs section:

"Just kind of strange, I once walked into Dukov's Place with a friendly Deathclaw following me (Broken Steel). As I entered the building the Deathclaw groaned and when I turned around it was dead. (Confirmed on 360 and PC)" - Kren Varom

Quantum[]

The article says "two Nuka-Cola Quantum in the upstairs bedroom. (One in the vending machine, one on the shelf)," but don't Quantums in vending machines spawn randomly? There sure wasn't a second one there when I wandered through.

Player Housing?[]

Hey uh... can anyone confirm if Dukov's place is an ok place for player housing? Kinda seems like a sweet place to keep my crap. YawningTeenager 21:03, September 11, 2010 (UTC)
