Does anybody know if they're fixing the weapons so challenges and perks apply to them? - Rattigan
I don't know
My fellow Wiki users, Whouldn't the fact that the add-on is called "Courier's Stash" and not "Courier's Starting Gear" strongly imply that you are not given the equipment at the start of the game, but rather find it in a location where the courier "stashed" them? --220.127.116.11 06:51, August 30, 2011 (UTC)Somebloke
Never ever gonna pre order a game from Obsidian or Bethesda ever again. Not only the glitchiest game I have played but it's not really a unique bonus if it is passed out later.
Thus is the beauty of patience. It's almost always better to wait a year or two before you buy a game. Especially from Bethesda. I've learned from TES series that they will release a game-of-the-year edition or something like that with the some, if not all, of the $10 dlc included for free. And there was even a point where Game Stop was selling individual discs with DLC on them. Why would Bethesda put these on discs where I can "buy" them rip them to my xbox, and bring them back for a full refund? Oh well, I can't complain. Free stuff if nice. Still doesn't make sense though.Pontius-ft 12:54, September 4, 2011 (UTC)
well thier not going to leave the guys who didnt preorder the game not be able to get these items i think its fair--Corporal grif 02:40, September 6, 2011 (UTC)
is it going to cost or will it be a free download?
I believe it is going to be two dollars(U.S.)Frantruck 03:35, September 11, 2011 (UTC)
It's been what, over a year? I preordered and got the Merc pack, I don't mind they are releasing them 1.) I got them for free with the preorder 2.) I got to use them with the game far earlier than anyone else who didn't preorder 18.104.22.168 15:24, September 20, 2011 (UTC)
Like the guns in the packs, but a few new weapon and armours arent worth 320... better off buying GRA and lonesome roads than this. hope bethesda arent going cheap and shoveling out weapon and armour packs to rake in extra profit...
i was on xbox live yesterday and it said it was only 160 MSP which i think is like 2.50 bucks so i think the price on the wiki was just mistaken. --Chargersphinx 17:40, September 28, 2011 (UTC)
Is the price right?
I thought it was 160 earlier did someone change it or was it announce at 320... cos if it is im better off getting roads and gun runners
It's 160ms points. That's $2 u.s., not $4. Gun Runner's is $4. serose8 16:39,September 16, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for clearing that up, someone must of changed it. --Shop smart, shop s-mart! 15:22, September 17, 2011 (UTC) Carter190s (earlier comment was mine as well)
will items be added automatically or are they only obtainable when starting a new game? Fallout: Shades of Grey, coming 2012 19:09, September 16, 2011 (UTC)
Dunno theres a bethesda comment saying that you choose one to start off the game with. Maybe you get others later or after leaving Goodsprings --Shop smart, shop s-mart! 15:24, September 17, 2011 (UTC) Carter190s
Each item will have a DLC base ID won't it? That way with Courier's Stash installed you can use console commands to add any of the new items, in theory. I don't want to start a new game. Fallout: Shades of Grey, coming 2012 18:56, September 23, 2011 (UTC)
Wouldn't this be nice
It would be nice to be able to download this for free if you already have one of the preorder packs, Activision did something similar with the Resurrection DLC pack for Black Ops and it would be nice to get a tidbit like this.
yeah, otherwise this just screws those who preordered.
In good springs you can find a tool box with the name of "stash toolbox" now it seems weird that all this items would be in a toolbox but you must keep in mind it has the word stash in the name so it might very well be that the developers had this planed from the beginning like the other DLCs locations it's just a hutch but I believe this is were you might find your "stash"--Your friend, Austinsnoop 16:16, September 25, 2011 (UTC)
An interesting thought, I checked and I did find that, so perhaps that is what is planned...that or we only get to pick one in the beggining, I just hope that if thats the case, my Pre Order Bonus stays with me and I can pick another to go with... --Brengarrett 08:44, September 26, 2011 (UTC)
Are you serious? OF COURSE they are gonna let us have everything in the courier's stash, not just one thing we pick. It's not called a stash for nothing! --Mat mod 08:59, September 26, 2011 (UTC)
AHH hell, so you wont be able to in the beginning be able to get all the gear, but how the hell are they going to classify whether the beginning is done yet??????????????????? found out this info here ↑ http://www.formspring.me/JESawyer/q/234022746516882431 --Mat mod 09:04, September 26, 2011 (UTC)
He might just be referring to the weight of the items...--Zeroo Ragnarok 01:45, September 27, 2011 (UTC)
Thx for your reaction im glad you didnt say ur stupid that stuff wont be found in a toolbox guys also if u could tell me how to restore my signature to were it gives a link to my profile that would be nice also tomorrow we will find out I'll be up at 4 eastern time if you guys wanna wait a 1 hour to get it and chat also--Your friend, Austinsnoop 02:08, September 27, 2011 (UTC)
There are stash toolboxes all over the Mojave, for example, there's another one in a trailer on the hill up to the Mojave Outpost. djAMPnz 02:24, September 27, 2011 (UTC)
I think the designation "stash" implies that the contents are stored there by someone for a particular reason. You have to sign your name like this, put 2 pairs of brackets on the outside of something that looks like this "user:myname|myname". You can check how everyone else does it when you edit a page where someone has done it. serose8 07:20, September 27, 2011 (UTC)~
Upon starting a new game the Courier gets all four packs added to inventory--Alpha Lycos 09:15, September 27, 2011 (UTC)
So is it only when starting a new game then? Fallout: Shades of Grey, coming 2012 15:25, September 27, 2011 (UTC)
No, once you download it, they will be added to your inventory as soon as you load your game. ReapTheChaos 17:37, September 27, 2011 (UTC)
Oh, really? I thought Sawyer said we'd have to pick which pack we'd want. I guess he was just joking.--Jolipinator 19:25, September 27, 2011 (UTC)
I thought that's what he meant, too, until I realized he was responding to the last part of the question... "wouldn't all four packs weigh a lot" or something like that. Sawyer replied "The BURDEN of choice." I think what he meant was that you might have to decide to leave some items behind so you weren't maxed out on carry weight. Either way, it was a very cryptic and smart-alecky way to answer the question (which is typical when game developers answer questions about products that aren't released yet). Maybe he simply wasn't allowed to give a straight answer, so he got creative with an answer that could be taken two different ways. :) 22.214.171.124 21:38, September 27, 2011 (UTC)
first they screw preorderers by releasing their bonus stuff for alot cheaper than they got it and now it punishes them by preventing somebody who had a preorder code from buying this item pack.
not that i would anyway really too high cost for like 8 low level items and didn't preorder specifically to get the items anyway but still.
(Please sign your comments with four tildes, thank you!) Firstly, the pre-order bonus items were FREE, so there's no way this pack could be "cheaper." Secondly, what do you mean, people who had a pre-order code can't buy this? I have TWO pre-order packs already, and I'm planning to buy this tonight. I guess I can report back and say whether it worked or not. (BTW I got two codes because I bought both editions of the game, standard and Collector's, and gave one to a friend... but I kept the pre-order code, hehe.) 126.96.36.199 21:33, September 27, 2011 (UTC)
The Pre-order packs were TECHNICALLY free but you were forced to buy the game brand new to get any of the packs so they should've just gave the couriers stash to all the people who actually bought the game brand new but thats just my opinion--Chargersphinx 17:44, September 28, 2011 (UTC)
It's my opinion that they released Courier's Stash as a replacement for the game of the year edition, that we will probably not see for this game. I would love to see it, and get the hardbound strategy guide for the game and all the DLC, but I don't think it will happen. It has the same graphics as the original, largely, and though I do truly appreciate the improvements, they don't really make the game compete with other titles out last year. I am glad the released the last two DLC. They make the game feel more complete and they were probably not very difficult to program, though they both could have been included in the original game. It is weird that even games that you love have to make 'money-making' decisions like charging a couple bucks more to make the game feel complete, but I appreciate the way they released them. I think they thought of us, at least somewhat (and didn't charge that much). Serose8 02:50, October 4, 2011 (UTC)
already have one
if you already have a pack from when u got the game do you get a second set of the items when u download the corries stash
No, the game detects if the items have been added previously. However, if you delete the original pre-order add-on after you have the items, you can save and re-download the add-on to recieve the whole set again. I haven't checked to see if this works for Courier's Stash, but it would make sense if it did. Serose8 02:40, October 4, 2011 (UTC)
is it needed?
... useless using console all this is available it comes with the game BETHESDA FAIL
1:1 copy of preorder packs
They didn't even try to fix the weathered 10mm pistol bug (the mods for that weapon were messed up, so they totally disabled their appearance in a patch), even if they had the chance to do so: it's a real pity...
