I do not feel comfortable editing this page, yet. However the statement "...and the only one affecting guns." is incorrect. The Sheriff's DusterSheriff's_duster , a unique variant, provides the same increases. That one appears to be glitched. it does not appear in the Repair Inventory screens and is in very poor condition when obtained. I have been unable so far to ascertain if these items can be repaired among themselves. Or if the Bounty Hunter's Coat can be repaired by vendors.
Perhaps someone can check this out and correct the entries for both these garments.
The page was correct before it said it was the only armor to provide a bonus to guns because the sheriffs duster is clothing (provides no DT) so I think the page should be changed back, but I'll let someone else decide. Also the BHD can be repaired by NPCs.--1stRecon 21:13, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
Far be it from me to pick nits, but I think that is a distinction lost on the average player. However, it might play into why it is glitched. The Sheriff's Duster in FO3 had a DR of 5. Since obsidian switched to DT something may have got lost in the translation. In FONV garments with DR but no DT do not appear in repair inventories. Another poster noted on the Sheriff's Duster page that it can be repaired with the Jury Rigging Perk. --Ewaldorph 23:15, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
Duster[]
It can be reverse pick-pocketed from Beatrix before she is recruited as a whore. The metal armor she was given was retained and worn after she went to work for the Atomic Wrangler. The NCR named Knight at Mojave Outpost repairs it to full for not too many caps. The one obtained from Caleb's body behaves exactly the same way, as does the Sheriff's Duster.

Clipping[]
"There is a slight clipping issue when viewing holstered rifles in 3rd person perspective. The rifle will appear somewhat inside the duster coat." That happens with every piece of clothing I wear in Vegas, my weapon while on my back always clips into my clothes. CHIEF Talk to me 22:48, August 10, 2011 (UTC)
