Follows-Chalk talks about using some sort of weapon to get the calf back? Is he referring to...the cattle prod or the Compliance Regulator?
New route[]
Rewrote the route because as as I can see there is no way up from Dead Horses camp.
Don't recall any mention of a weapon, he does mention banana yucca fruit. Bwilderbeast 08:23, May 19, 2011 (UTC)
End of quest option[]
When the player gets back to the mother with the calf the options are to keep or return the calf. What happens if it is kept, does it still have to be fed every so often or does it become a companion of some sort? Does the quest complete? Bwilderbeast 08:32, May 19, 2011 (UTC)
Keeping the baby calf.[]
If you decide to keep the baby calf, it will continue to follow you back to camp. You can lead the calf into Angel Cave and out the other side if you like. Follows-Chalk will not get any new dialogue regarding the calf. Noone else in camp will acknowledge the presence of the calf. Waiting several days in camp with the calf had no additional behavior. Despite what Follows-Chalk said, the bighorners do NOT attack the camp. The calf only has 50 hitpoints and does not have any additional interaction behaviors, so it is not useful as a companion. The only way to complete the quest is to return the calf to it's mother (or kill it).
Suicidal Warrior[]
Had a bit of a laugh at the end of this quest. I was coming back to the camp after returning the calf and encountered a Dead Horse Warrior who jumped off a cliff, injured himself and repeated. This kept going until he got down to 23 HP left(I saw this because of the Living Anatomy perk). I found it to be a good laugh as I watched him run up and off this cliff multiple times.--Alpha Lycos 07:25, October 10, 2011 (UTC)
