i find the weapon description to be quite different than the actual game weapon. with moderate use the 10mm pistol degrades faster than most other pistols ive used.
i tend to use pistols alot because you move faster with a one handed weapon and you usually get more VATS shots as well. i usually only use a rifle for very long range where its too hard to tell if i have the pistol site on the target, heh.
anyways, when i was using the 9mm it lasted a really, really long time before i had to repair it.
when i switched to the 10mm at about level 12 or so because the 9 just didnt hit as hard, i was amazed how fast this weapon degraded. i ended up having to carry a couple junk spares with me when id start out just to repair the thing so it wouldnt jam on reloads. it goes down so fast... it seems like its losing around 10% per clip.
the description talking about how durable it is.... well, its a lie.
The description is talking about how durable it is against the elements,not how durable it is while being used.Seeing how it managed to survive a nuclear war and over 200 years laying around collecting dust id say its a fairly accurate statement.Ragedaoneanlonely 22:30, November 16, 2010 (UTC)
Aah, the good ol' 10mm pistol. It's still strong, still one of the first weapons you get in the game, and still ugly as hell. Gotta love it.Otisman 02:41, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

Not entirely. The 9mm when upgraded is decent, the scope is pretty good for sneaking/spotting, and the extended magazine is fairly useful. Plus, Maria is just badass. The N99 still outclasses it, but, it's all based on preference.
