Sylvie (—March 5th, 2101) was a Vault 22 dweller who, along with more than one hundred[1] survivors escaped Vault 22.
Background[]
She ran away from the other survivors after Randall Clark's one man, year long, guerilla war on the survivors. On January 13th, 2097, she stepped on one of Randall Clark's bear traps at Cueva Guarache. Her screaming woke him up, after he found her. The way she was crying moved Clark, including the how of her screams of seeing him, their long time boogieman. He freed her and assumingly tended to her wounds. After confirming her story (it matching the "interrogations" of other captured survivors the year prior) they started a relationship with each other. She not knowing how to survive outside of a Vault but wanting to learn.[2] By September 9th, 2100, the relationship blossomed and she was pregnant with Clark's child.[3] Unfortunately their son Michael Clark was born breech, Clark tried to turn him and failed. The Caesarean was a failure and she never regained consciousness. He buried them both south of the narrows. Being by their sides comforted him, as before he never go to say goodbye.[4]
She was a trusting and religious person, specifically referring to the Vault 22 survivors as "children of the devil"[2] and saying that it's God's will that they have their child. Randall never told her about Charlotte or Alex, not wanting to tell his young wife about the previous one whom he failed. As his prior family was more to him than his relationship with her.[3]
