Sunnyvale is where the platinum chip was created for Mr. House, which was to be hand-delivered to Mr. House on October 23, 2077. However, due to the Great War, the chip was lost amongst the destruction. House spent millions of caps trying to recover this chip, but to no avail.[1][2]

- Sunnyvale is a major technological hub in the San Francisco Bay Area. The area that houses Sunnyvale and other surrounding cities is called Silicon Valley. Silicon Valley is famous for all its technological companies such as Intel, Apple, etc.
- Despite being an technological hub in the real world, Sunnyvale is actually an homage to the 1983 film WarGames.[3]
