Widely suspected to be human flesh, no one knows exactly what it is, other than it looks and tastes strange. The presence of the item is often used in the game to indicate that those possessing it are cannibals.

It appears to be spongy bits of meat skewered onto a stick. It can restore some of your Hit Points, but also gives you a small does of radiation and a -1 penalty to Strength when consumed.

Old Ben in Freeside warns that eating strange meat causes debilitating shakes in normal, non-cannibal humans, and serves as a warning sign that they have consumed human flesh, which is very similar to the real world disease known as Kuru.
