The scissors are a miscellaneous item in Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.
Characteristics[]
They are a type of pre-War hand-held medical equipment used for cutting delicate tissue during surgery. Scissors are a portable item, can be placed on any flat surface, and are made of tungsten carbide. Identified as a Metzenbaum scissor, this equipment has shanks for holding and controlling the item by fingers and blades which cut tissue. The blade tips are blunted. These items are associated with other hand-held medical equipment on compartment trays and are often accompanying them. Scissors are used in the Vault-Tec Vaults.
The scissors in the Vaults are communally owned and passed from one generation to the next. The expectation of Vault residents is that the scissors will be properly cleaned and maintained.
