The Samson Rock Crushing Plant is a location in the Mojave Wasteland. It marks the southwest corner of the Las Vegas Conurbation.[1]

Background[]

This rock crushing plant has been disintegrating for decades, but it was only truly abandoned by prospectors after the recent influx of Fiends.[1]

Layout[]

It is located directly south of New Vegas Steel and just slightly southwest of The Basincreek Building. There are several boarded up buildings, shipping containers and conveyor belts, but aside from a small patch of white horsenettle, there is little of interest here. Just southwest is an unmarked location sulfur caves which is an entry to Vault 19.

Related quests[]

This location is used as a makeshift post for 1st Recon if you choose to let them aid you against Driver Nephi. During the quest Three-Card Bounty, they will wait for you to lure him towards them and then open fire.

Notes[]

  • Several frag mines have been set just to the east on the ruined freeway. The south-easternmost mine sometimes can't be targeted due to geometry issues but will still explode when you walk over to disarm it. These may be triggered by 1st Recon if they are not removed before starting the Three-Card Bounty quest.

Appearances[]

The Samson Rock Crushing Plant only appears in Fallout: New Vegas.

Composed of four sealed concrete buildings to the north and the main workings to the south, surrounded by the remains of a fence, this Quarry has been disintegrating for decades. Abandoned by prospectors due to the influx of Fiends, the area offers nothing but a few wild plants. Use the buildings as cover after retreating from Fiends, or the structure as a marker for the southwest corner of the New Vegas Conurbation."
