Rose is the proprietor of Rose's Bed and Breakfast and wife of Cornelius in Fallout 2.

A pleasantly plump woman operating the B&B, Rose has a motherly appearance that helps visitors relax. She wears her gray hair in a loose bun and walks with a slight waddle.[2] She is a very warm person and helps others with an unbreakable smile. She is also an excellent cook, her wasteland omelet being the stuff of legends in the wastes.

This character is involved in quests.

  • Kill the "chicken": Rose keeps a mother deathclaw in the fenced-off building right next to the B&B, which is the source of eggs for her famous omelet. Note that opening the coop and running away without killing the deathclaw will cause it to kill everyone on the map.

Other interactions

  • The player can participate in a brahmin fry eating competition. There is no real benefit to it, other than personal satisfaction, learning the recipe for the fries, and getting a small amount of food poisoning.
  • Rose will give stupid characters a free wasteland omelet each time they talk to her.

Rose appears in Fallout 2 and is mentioned in Fallout: New Vegas. She is also mentioned in Fallout: New Vegas by her great-niece Jas Wilkins in Sloan.[1]

  1. 1.0 1.1 The Courier: "Where did you come up with this recipe?"
Jas Wilkins: "My great-aunt Rose ran a bed and breakfast back in California, in a town called Modoc. She's the one who created the recipe in the first place. I don't know how she managed to get a hold of a female Deathclaw, but she kept it in a shed. Aunt Rose had a steady supply of eggs for her omelets. At least, she did until some stranger came along and killed the Deathclaw. Shot it right in the eye."
