The Rockwell BigBazooka rocket launcher is a Big Guns weapon in Fallout 2.

Background[]

The following section is transcluded from Rocket launcher. To modify, please edit the source page.

Manufactured by Rockwell, the BigBazooka is a shoulder-fired anti-tank and anti-armor missile weapon, firing an unguided, fin-stabilized rocket. It is a classic design, with the rocket loaded into a reusable launching tube with a shock absorber and launched using a deluxe 3 pound trigger and tracker mounted on the tube. It is a line of sight weapon, requiring the operator to manually acquire and fire the weapon.[1]

Characteristics[]

The rocket launcher loses some effectiveness by the end game, where power armor is common among enemies. However, with the appropriate ammo, it can work wonders. Armor-piercing rockets are strictly superior to their explosive brethren, performing well against all manner of enemies.

Behind the scenes[]

The first time I shot the rocket launcher, I used the wrong art for the missile, and instead of a rocket shooting out and exploding, a man appeared in front of me, ran to my target, and blew up into tiny pieces. We laughed so much that I replaced the man with a dog so we had a puppy launcher.

The second was the first time the rocket launcher was demonstrated. The object ID number for the rocket shell was entered incorrectly. Instead of a rocket crossing the screen, a dog popped out, ran to the target and blew up. We came *this* close to keeping Puppy Ammo, but eventually decided that Vince DeNardo, a colleague and dog lover, probably wouldn't be too happy with us.
