The RobCo Battlezone is a location in the Galactic Zone park of Nuka-World.

Background[]

The Battlezone was a combat arena created by RobCo as a way to showcase their products in a safe, exciting environment, promising "spectacular feats of mechanized combat featuring never-before-seen RobCo prototypes". The fighting between robot contestants, which were really commercial or military-grade robots repainted to fit the theme of the attraction, regularly drew in crowds of people, who eventually began to notice the false advertising of the attraction and demanded refunds.[1] Equipped with live ammunition and utilizing a modified combat A.I., these robots tore into each other in a fight to the death, one such battle ending in the death of an employee.[2] After an incident involving a overworked Novatron exploding, a change was made in scheduling, reducing the number of daily shows from eight to six.[3] The derelict exhibit is now filled with performers without a home to go to, incredibly dangerous to anyone foolish enough to step inside...

Layout[]

The area is simple, built around a central battle arena. The outer perimeter can be freely crossed and is only mildly dangerous. Through the doors is the spectator stands and arena; immediately after crossing the threshold, there is a Novice-locked reception area west of the doors and a Novice-locked control room on the east side; beneath the stands is a gift shop.

The arena is accessed via the door on the east side of the stands, while the door on the west side leads to the robot maintenance room. There is a steamer trunk here, along with a terminal in this room allows to the self-destruction of the space sentry bot stored there. Otherwise, once one steps into the arena to grab the star cores, two galactrons and two eyebots, then a novatron, then two novatrons, and finally a space sentry bot supported by four eyebots will attack. This is definitely not an area to come to unprepared.

Notable loot[]

  • 6 star cores:
    • 2 in the control room (accessible via Novice-locked door left of the entrance).
    • 2 in the control inlet inside the battle arena.
    • 1 in the robot maintenance area.
    • 1 in the gift shop under the stands.
  • The Nuka-Ray recipe is found on a shelf in the gift shop beneath the stands.
  • The RobCo Battlezone key is in the maintenance area, on the table.
  • A Nuka-Cade ticket roll is in the reception area.

The RobCo Battlezone appears only in the Fallout 4 add-on Nuka-World.
