”Road to Freedom is a quest that can be obtained in the Commonwealth in Fallout 4.
Synopsis[]
The Road to Freedom quest triggers in the plaza in Goodneighbor, and tasks you with following the Freedom Trail. Normally this quest requires you to visit all sites along the trail gathering and recording parts of a secret code. However, we can skip all of that and just give you the lowdown!
Walkthrough[]
- The quest follows the real-world Freedom Trail.
- The first location is Boston Common. Locate the fountain with the scrawled board that reads "At Journey’s End Follow Freedom’s Lantern." On the ground in front of that is a Freedom Trail marker reading A7.
- Follow the red brick line along the sidewalk around the perimeter of Boston Common. Locate Massachusetts State House and the marker L4.
- Follow the trail to the Old Granary Burying Ground and the marker A2.
- Follow the trail to the Old State House and the marker O6.
- Follow the trail to the Old Corner Bookstore and the marker 3I.
- Follow the trail to Faneuil Hall and the marker 5R.
- The trail continues to what's left of Paul Revere's House and the marker 8D.
- The trail concludes at the Old North Church and the marker 1R. Enter the church.
- Follow the lantern markers downstairs to the Freedom Trail Ring, and spin it to spell out RAILROAD.
- Meet Desdemona.
- Hand over the courser chip for Tinker Tom to analyze it.
- Talk to Desdemona again to conclude the quest.

- Alternatively, just head down to the Old North Church and spin the ring.
