Ranger station Alpha is a location in the Mojave Wasteland, located north of Boulder City.

Background[]

Before taking Hoover Dam, Ranger station Alpha was the frontline outpost for the NCR in the Mojave but as since fallen to more of a support role then anything else.[2] Legion scouts try to slip across the Narrows a couple times a week, however the Rangers stationed always send them floating downriver with holes in their heads.[3] Ranger Rebecca Lineholm and Comm Officer Castillo are the current ranking officers at the station.[4]

Layout[]

Overlooking the Narrows just north of Hoover Dam, the station is perched up on an overlook, and contains three tents next to a radio tower, an outhouse, and the usual sandbag emplacements at access points. The southernmost tent houses the communications equipment, together with a situation map and Wattz radios for use by the rangers out on patrol. The middle one acts as storage, with minor loot on the shelves along with two Easy ammo boxes that contain some frag mines and some .357 Magnum rounds and a first aid box. The last tent contains three beds for use by the Rangers.

It's possible for lakelurks spawning on the shores of Lake Mead to attack the camp, much to the chagrin of the Rangers stationed here.

Notable loot[]

  • Lad's Life: Near the ham radio in Comm Officer Castillo's tent.

Related quests[]

Bugs[]

  • Companions can become stuck in the storage tent, between the two large shipping crates. Fast traveling to the station (or elsewhere) will respawn and unstuck them.
