Publick Occurrences is a newspaper publishing house in Diamond City, run by Piper Wright in 2287.

Background

Diamond City's newspaper, Publick Occurrences, gets its name from the first newspaper ever published in Boston, in 1690.[1] The newspaper had gotten on the bad side of Mayor McDonough and by extension, has earned the ire of the entire city, resulting in the newspaper's founder becoming ejected from the city. It is run by a reporter called Piper and her younger sister, who mostly hands out the papers. Piper is very much against the Institute, and often expresses this in her newspaper.

Interactions with the player character

After having a chance run-in with the Sole Survivor, Piper uses them in order to gain access to the city once again, and later attempts to allure them with a rather suggestive opportunity to come by her office at some point, to, "Work with her on an article," which is met with a round of cheering from nearby citizens that overhear the conversation. Once she is settled in again and learns the Sole Survivor is a vault dweller, Piper asks to interview them and begins Story of the Century.

Notes

Appearances

Public Occurrences appears only in Fallout 4.
