Potted meat is a consumable in Fallout 4.
Background[]
Once a product of the famed Longneck Lukowski's Cannery, this product was recently reintroduced to the Commonwealth by Theodore Collins around 2286. At first this entrepreneur used meat exclusively from traders. However when the first trader arrived before he had repaired the machinery, the meat spoiled. Collins deciding to cut the spoiled meat with some mole rat meat he hunted in the basement, believing that no one would know. Eventually the demand outpaced the supply and he began cutting all the meat brought in with mole rat.[1][2]
Soon this too wouldn't be enough, and Collins began to desperately cut all meat brought to him with anything he could catch. This eventually gave way to using feral ghouls and glowing ones. All this and the fact that he was storing the meat in unsanitary and non-refrigerated conditions led to his consumers becoming sick after consuming his products. As the Sole Survivor investigates they will learn these secrets, deciding the fate of this product.[3]
Characteristics[]
A small tin can with an easy open lid, filled with meat from many different creatures. The meat provides 40 hit points, but at the cost of 12 rads; there is also a 25% chance that the tin contains ghoul meat, in which case the dose of radiation doubles to 25 rads.
Locations[]
It can be purchased from Theodore Collins in Longneck Lukowski's Cannery. It can also be found throughout the location, but all cans are marked as owned and must be stolen.
