Post-cryonic syndrome is a lethal side-effect that occurs when improper revival procedures are followed after a patient has been subjected to prolonged cryonic stasis in bio med gel. The only known sufferer is PFC Dobbs at Sierra Army Depot VI in 2241.[1]
Characteristics[]
PCS manifests as spontaneous liquification of all soft tissue within minutes of revival. It can be surmised that extended period of time submerged in bio med gel makes the body dependent on the substance for structure. Once the subject is taken out the gel, their fate is irrevocably sealed and death occurs, of course, instantly.[1]
Notes[]
- The writers committed a common sci-fi error, referring to cryonics as cryogenics.
