Pine Crest cavern is a location on Mount Desert Island.
Background[]
The main part of one of the larger trapper encampments, this ritualistic site is filled with the skeletons of the dead. Although still a part of the same cavern as Kitteredge Pass, the encampment in the pass itself was overrun by ferals recently.
Layout[]
A narrow canyon leads into the camp, where a network of wooden ladders and bridges network the shacks built into the cliff face. Most notably, there is a chemistry station in the shack in the east immediately after crossing the bridge, and there is a cooking station in the shack just above that one. Continuing north on the ground leads into the cavern.
The camp in the cavern is a similar network of shacks as outside. The ground floor of the camp is accessed by crossing a bridge over a flooded area, while the upper tier of the camp can be accessed through a Novice-locked door (or simply proceeding through the ground floor as normal). Beyond another cooking station is a shack with the staircase leading up to the upper tier, but past this shack to the east is a passageway leading further into the cavern. Past a few tin can traps and an automated turret is door leading into Kitteredge Pass, warning people from entering the ghoul infested camp.
Appearances[]
Pine Crest cavern appears only in the Fallout 4 add-on Far Harbor.
