The Pickup truck is a very common pre-War vehicle in the Mojave Wasteland and Zion Canyon.
Characteristics[]
These cars at one time had a traditional gasoline powered engine (hence the jerrycan on both sides and the double exhaust pipe) which seems to have been retrofitted with some type of nuclear turbine system. Occasionally, there will be a container in the bed (normally a suitcase).
Locations[]
They can be found all over the Mojave Wasteland and in some settlements.
Appearances[]
The Pickup truck appears in Fallout: New Vegas and Honest Hearts.
Notes[]
- In the Mojave, they all have the same license plate, which is "J4M35M"; in Zion, their plate number is 000 000.
- Trucks do not explode when shot at as they don't have nuclear turbine conversion engines on them.
Behind the scenes[]
- On Mojave pickups, the license plates read "J4M35M", which is leetspeak for "James M", a reference to the Environment Artist James Melilli.
