Who do-? Who the fuck do you think I am? I'm the fucking god of New Vegas brahmin fusion cuisine, that's who. No. No. That doesn't even give me the credit I deserve. I fucking invented edible food! Do you like eating? Good. You owe me your entire goddamned garbage existence.

Philippe is a White Glove Society member and head chef living at the Ultra-Luxe in Fallout: New Vegas.

Background[]

Philippe is the resident chef of the Ultra-Luxe casino. Like most of the members of the White Glove Society, he strives to bring sophistication to the wasteland, particularly when it comes to cuisine. He is no doubt a competent chef, but carries lots of repressed emotional baggage from his early life, causing him to project his power which manifests in an overly aggressive and arrogant attitude. Although, Philippe is convinced that he yells at people because he "likes yelling at people and... they fucking deserve it."[1]

When Philippe was five, his father left the family, which led his mother, a "chem fiend" to "bring home a series of strange men who insisted upon Philippe calling them 'Uncle'". His sisters also would lock him in a shipping crate whenever they didn't want him around. There seems to be a terrible incident in Philippe's past involving his brother, which only resurfaces after the Courier suggests that Philippe's aggressive attitude is not due to his "just liking to shout at people", but rather the severely traumatic experiences of his childhood.[1]

Philippe: "[?] What kind of harebrained fucking psychobabble bullshit is that? I yell at people because I like yelling at people and because they fucking deserve it. Not because Mumsy and Daddy-kins didn't hug me enough."
The Courier: "You may be projecting. Tell me more about your parents."
Philippe: "[?] Oh. I see how it is. You think because my father walked out on us when I was five, now I have to yell at people. Or because my mother was a deranged chem fiend who regularly brought strange men home who told me to call them uncle. Or because my sisters would lock me in a shipping crate when they didn't want me around... and my brother... God, I'd forgotten about that. How could they do that to me?"
